my little minature dachshund won't quit barking. my mom says that every time she barks to bring her inside for about ten minutes then take her back out. she barks at cars passing by the neighbors goats and horse and bark at my horse when she comes to the fence to get a carrot. what should i do about her barking? any techniques? plz help. its gets really annoying.

if you dog has learned the word no. tell her no bark everytime she barks in a stern voice. she will eventually stop.
the only problem with your mom's advice is that if she likes going inside. then she is learning that when she barks she gets to go inside. there for she barks even more!

Put a choke chain on her, connect a leash and when she barks tell her no and then give her a sharp, quick correction by jerking hard on the leash.... be sure to give her a chance to respond to the first no before you give the correction.
You may have to walk around for a few weeks doing so, but it will not only correct the problem it will teach the dog to respect your authority and most of all .... the word NO.... which may just save it's life someday.

Some breeds bark more than others, and Dachsunds are one of the bad breeds in terms of barking. It's going to be tough to get your dog to stop.

A no bark collar would help, but it's expensive. Put a regular collar and leash on her, when she barks, give her a quick pull and say "No!" very loudly, or make a "SSSHHTT!" noise, keep doing it until she relaxes and sits or lays down.

get her a bark collar, spray her with water when she barks.

giv ur dog some food and water or put the dog on a chain away from the street or ne u know
