Yes, God is three persons, but one being . It is not meant to be understood by human reasoning. God the Father is God. Jesus, the Son is God. The Holy Spirit is God.

Jesus and God are part of the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Christians believe the Messiah was Jesus. Jewish people are still waiting for the Messiah (except for Messianic Jews).

Since God is a triune being, theologians use the word Trinity to represent the complex doctrine through which man comprehends His existence. Since the word Trinity is not found anywhere in the received text or in it's offspring (the Authorized Version and other biblical translations derived from the received text), many argue that the doctrine of the Trinity is not a Biblical one. However, when a person comes to understand the theory that is embodied in the terminology they can not help but find proof of the Trinity throughout the Bible. The doctrine of the Trinity is believed by all Christian groups. Some groups profess to be Christian and do not believe in the Trinity, however, none of these groups are truly Christian because their various perversions of the gospel cause them to have, "a form of godliness but denying the power thereof" (II Timothy 3:5). The Bible went on to say we should have nothing to do with them. Why? Because they are not Christians. This does not mean we can not love them and share the gospel with them, it simply means we are not to fellowship with them as brothers in Christ. The concept of the Trinity is the very concept of the existence of God, and since God reveals himself to his children, it only makes sense that all Christian churches would believe in and defend the doctrine of the Trinity.
Since the word Trinity is used to represent God as a triune being, what is triune? Noah Webster defined the word triune to mean, "three in one." This means that God, a singular being, exists in a plural manner. This is why the term Godhead is often used in scripture (Acts 7:19, Romans 1:20, Collosians 2:9, etc.). God's very name implies His triune existence. The Hebrew name for God used in all known manuscriptsis ELOHIM, so Genesis 1:1 could read, "In the beginning ELOHIM created the heaven and the earth." The word ELOHIM means three in one. The word ELOHIM has both a singular and a plural usage in Hebrew, uniquely, the two usages are always simultaneous. The word ELOHIM can never be used in the plural form without implying the singular and vice-versa. Note also, that all Hebrew letters have a numeric value, all Hebrew words also have value. ELOHIM is an interesting word in that it has two values, three and one.

Jesus was God in the flesh, here on earth. He was and still is our leader and savior. With that said, he still answered and prayed to the Father God. The trinity explains it all, like so many others have said in this thread. As for the second part of your question about the Jewish and Christian God, they are the same (the Father). Without accepting the Son though, it is my belief that they do not fully accept God.

YES, We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is fully God, the expressed image of the Father, who, without ceasing to be God, became man in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (Matthew 1:21; John 1:18; Colossians 1:15). We believe in one Triune God, who is Creator of all (Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 1:16), eternally existing in three distinct Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14), yet one in being, essence, power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections (John 10:30). God is our creator (Genesis 1:1), is eternal (Psalm 90:2), infinite (1 Timothy 1:17), sovereign (Psalm 93:1) and unsearchable (Romans 11:33-34). God is omniscient (Psalm 139:1-6), omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-13), omnipotent (Revelation 19:6), and unchanging (Malachi 3:6). God is holy (Isaiah 6:3), just (Deuteronomy 32:4), and righteous (Exodus 9:27). God is love (1 John 4:8), gracious (Ephesians 2:8), merciful (1 Peter 1:3), and good (Romans 8:28).
We believe that God the Son became incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ; that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary; that He is truly God and truly man; that He lived a perfect, sinless life; that all His teachings are true (Isaiah 14; Matthew 1:23). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for all mankind (1 John 2:2) as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice (Isaiah 53:5-6). We hold that His death is efficacious for all who believe (John 1:12; Acts 16:31); that our justification is grounded in the shedding of His blood (Romans 5:9; Ephesians 1:17); and that it is attested by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6; 1 Peter 1:3).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven in His glorified body (Acts 1:9-10) and is now seated at the right hand of God as our High Priest and Advocate (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25).

Jesus IS God.
The Godhead is made of The Father, The Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.
This is called the Trinity. They are different, and yet the same.
Some people think Christians worship three Gods, and now this is not true. Because the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are ONE.
When we pray, we pray In Jesus Name, because human were cut off from God because of sin, but through the sacrifice of Jesus, we have that "bridge" which connects us to the Father again.
Jesus said He is the way, and no one will come to the Father except through Him.
Today, Jesus is still that "bridge" for you and me. He will continue to intercede for us until He comes again.
Hope this helped. God Bless.

God and Jesus are two separate beings but are of the same purpose, the same intent, the same abilities. Jesus is the son of God, there fore he has all the same power and nobility. Their agenda is the same there fore they are of the same in association as is the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. They are united as part of the Godhead. But Jesus serves God his Father and we serve God the Father thru Jesus. So Yes! The Jews serve God the Father and Christians serve God thru Jesus the son of God. There fore both groups serve the same God, whether they realize it or not! Gods name is Elohim. Jesus's name is Jesus!

Actually, the Christians, Jews, and Muslims follow the "same GOD"... (Though, the Muslims call HIM by a different name, its a fact that we dont really "know" HIS true name, only that which HE tells us to refer to HIM by..And who calls HIM..."I AM" anymore?).
Its the 'prophets' that we have a tough time with, and also the SON of GOD, JESUS CHRIST, that the others dont believe in. (What else do you need? The Man rose from the DEAD!). The Muslims will admit HE is a prophet as the Jews admit that HE is a teacher...so, each has thier stumbling blocks...
I wish you well..

Jesus is the "Son of God" meaning he is the closest to Him. Christians and Jews follow the same God because Christianity stemmed from Judaism after the era of Christ. However, God is percieved according to how each individual percieves Him, so I think God is different for everyone who believes in Him.
