I think it may have been a local thing (in Toronto?). I remember it being in the mornings and they would hold up a card or drawing or picture (whatever the viewer sent in with the info) and wish Happy Birthday to that person from whoever. I think y'all get the idea right? Anyway, anyone remember what station it was?

CBC Kids does it (my kids watched it this morning) http://www.cbc.ca/kidscbc/ I seem to remember that TVO did that as well when we lived in Ontario.

Yes, definately PBS Sprout - but just because you send a card doesn't necessarily mean his/her name will get read.

Our station - channel 8 - does 'birthdays on the 8' and anyone with a birthday with an 8 -- 8, 18, 28, etc - will have a pic and short info. We also have a local radio station that has a community 'bulletin board' that wishes people birthdays and anniversaries.

Ok so If I did have an ex who I was still talking to just as friends well if I still had his number than I would text him saying '' happy Birthday '' or if we both did have a facebook account I would send a message via that.. That I don't have a name user is the moran here and needs to grow up just ignore it.

When my ex and I were still dating we made this page together on live journal. Just random thoughts memories and emails to one another we didn't want to loose. I had already started working on his birthday present before we broke up but it didn't seem like to much or to little. I did one of those writing challenges. They give you random words and you kinda have to write a avg of 100 word story. I used those words to say what they reminded me of about him. Most things on that were just amazing memories. The kinda stuff that brings a smile to your face. Though we broke up on pretty nasty terms he still loved it. =] EDIT: At Idon'thaveaname. Why would you call her a moron? Not everyone has crap breakups. A lot of people are mature enough to still be friends. My ex is my best friend. We may not be dating but I know he'd do anything for me. Theres no reason to resort to name calling, if you aren't mature enough to handle ex's thats your problem.

The local news. There is a radio station called Radio Disney that you can give birthday shout-outs. I've done it for my son's seventh birthday.

Im betting the one youre looking for is "PBS Kids Sprout". Both of my kiddies love that one and it does the daily birthday wishes, and if your child is picked, they also get a free seed pot in the mail to "grow with them". LOL..good luck!
