A family member has bi-polar (it seems). One minute this person is extremely happy, next violently yelling and saying things that don't make sense. For example, we say in a feel calm way, why are you yelling at me...and the person still screaming says, i am not yelling you are yelling, you are threatening me....and this will go on til we have to leave the house, because in the end the person wants to call the cops on us and we never even did or said anything. There are kids involved too...this person takes it out on one of them, so badly that this kid is too grown up for their age. How do we get help for this person, without them saying that we are ganging up on them and going crazy and retaliating with accusations that aren't true. I fear that this person will go beyond violent abusive yelling to something far worse to themselve or the family. This person is jeopardizing everything, everything and they are not aware that is isn't us, it is that person. Please help. Help.

No matter what the diagnosis is you and your family need to try to get some help from the authorities. I would suggest contacting his doctor or therapist but you need to be concerned with the safety of all invovled. If you feel that this person is a danger to themselves or others you need to contact local law enforcement. When you call you should let them know the situation including his mental health history (not specifics but just that he is someone diagnosed with a mental health disorder).

As for those who indicated that Bipolar disorder isn't that serious please understand that there are varing levels of severity and symptomology among those diagnosed. Individuals who have Bipolar can also have symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, and severe paranoia, as well as mood cycling. I'm not saying that this individual has Bipolar but I feel obligated to correct those who have stated that it doesn't sound like this person should be diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.

How did you realize it became a wedding ceremony of inconvenience? ordinary because you heard some gossip from different friends? For all every person knows she would were oblivious that her husband became gay. It takes position, homosexuals marry really frequently because they're in denial about who they extremely are or they're hiding who they extremely are. Very laughable if this female became some detrimental organic mom, some (even the OP) will be more effective than prepared to grant her some money even with if she became jobless and in no way searching. per chance she is the monetary equipment is down the lavatory. Or advise some classes which could help her out. What good will be reporting her you’d probably get those childrens yanked away and that i don’t see how which will be good thinking they’ve been including her in view that they were toddlers and the oldest is 8 years previous. Heck if the oldest are 6 and eight then they were followed way formerly china replaced their criteria in early 2007. Heck even the three year previous born 2005 or early 2006 very available would were grandfathered even with if the newborn became authentic followed in 2007, which will have also been 2006 depending even as the newborn became born. hence this female wouldn’t have had to get married as a fashion to undertake from China a minimum of not for her 2 eldest toddlers and per chance not even for her youngest. A kinfolk is a kinfolk regardless if the kinfolk is organic and organic or adoptive.

Gang up on that person and have him/her committed asap, before some really serious sh*t happens. This guy/gal will think yer ganging up anyway, so there's no difference. This person needs treatment and most important of all, needs to be kept away from kids as much as possible until things calm down. Doesn't sound like bipolar disorder to me but whatever's brewing, this can't go on.

Even if he/she's a family member, CALL THE POLICE if things get out of hand. Most violent crimes are in fact committed by family members, against family members.

Careful about pre-diagnosing them! I am bi-polar (axis II ,which means my lows last longer and my highs are less high than axis I ),It sounds kinda like Bi-polar, but it could be drugs or another mental illness, or a combination of one or more mental illnesses or tendancies. If you are fearful for the children, call the police or a mental health expert to IMMEDIATELY come to her home and observe her.We have a law here in my state that says a person can be "96'd", or put into a facility for a very short period of time to be observed and if applicable, diagnosed. And in my state, Bi-polar is a mental illness that can get disabilty or SSI.She may have paranoid tendacies due to drug or alcohol abuse or a mental illness. At any rate...you cannot help her as much as a professional could, even if the problem is simply stress.

It sounds more like you might have a drug problem on your hands then bi-polar. Of course I am not a doctor so what you should really be doing is getting one or a psychiatrist involved. If this person causes you problems with getting them to one, then involve the police and get them to the emergency room. Getting help for this situation is by far more important then worrying about whether or not this person is going to be mad at you. Especially since kids are involved.

I have been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and I have never behaved in this fasion..find out is you can have this person "Baker Acted"..This person really needs help..and if the other family members no nothing then you will all blame yourselves if the kids get hurt..and rightly so bevause you will all be to blame.

Talk to their Doctor right away -- the Doctor will be able to evaluate their condition and refer them to the specialists necessary (or for testing). So set a physical checkup for the person, make sure they are there, and present your notes on their behavior to the physician who is examining (if you can't go -- then someone familiar with their problem behavior should go).

YOU GOT TO DO WHAT YOU GOT TO DO. CALL THE MENTAL AUTHORITIES AND HAVE THEM PICKED UP SO THAT THEY CAN BE DIAGNOSED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT OR EVEN WORSE. THINK ABOUT IT, THEY ARE GOING TO BE MAD REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU DO, SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT THEIR FEELINGS RIGHT NOW. SHOW THAT YOU CARE AND GET THEM SOME HELP. YOU DO NOT WANT TO CALL THE POLICE BECAUSE THEY WILL SHOOT TO KILL THEM. THE FIRST THING THE POLICE WILL SAY IS THAT THEY TRIED TO ATTACK THEM. CALL YOUR LOCAL MENTAL HOSPITAL AND GET THEM SOME HELP.

having a bipolar in the family is very stressful. you have to understand that the disorder is in his moods.
make sure he gets his meds. it will help him stabilize.

you have to ask God for grace and mercy.
