I have an apple computer and would like to install the windows xp operating system on it using the program "boot camp" In order to do this I need a genuine windows cd-rom with an UNUSED serial code.

First of all, make sure you buy the full version, and not the upgrade version. If you are a student or a teacher, you can sometimes save yourself a lot of money by buying the academic version.

If you have a registered version of the previous version Windows, you can purchase the upgrade version of Windows XP for about $90.

We don't have an apple, but we have loaned out our version to a couple of people and it has worked just fine for them. Maybe the serial code thing is a myth.
Good luck finding someone nearby to borrow and try.

I guess you have to buy a CD from a software store. That is the only way to get a genuin one. Where else can you get an original CD?? Well, if anyone of your friend or close ones have it, then you won't have to buy it.

suck it up bubba ..spend ur money for legal stuff...wal-mart is probably cheapest...if u buy 2nd hand more than likely product code key does not work no more is reason for selling it...beside microsoft is busting ppl and discontinuing their activation with a pirated WINXP disc....just go buy one ..then u know it is good
