First, relax. High school isn't as scary as it seems. Be yourself and soon you'll have some friends. It may take awhile (it took me 2 weeks to have a new friend), but in the meantime, stay on the good sides of all your teachers. Try your hardest in your classes and you'll do fine. Good luck, freshman! kidding, kidding.......

don't worry last year I was a freshman in a school with over 50,000 population (University of Texas) I didn't know many people and I wasn't nervous at all. Just relax it's nothing, you'll meet people just give it some time. You are not your siblings, you can live life the way you want regardless of your siblings actions. Good luck and don't worry you'll do fine.

dont take things too seriously, both the social aspects and the schoolwork. Do remember that its gonna be a big part of your life for the next four years, and you are gonna want to look back at it with no regrets. Join the team, join the club, go out with the cute guy you like, talk to everyone, dont make fun of anyone just to be cool.

Relax.. theyr'e all nervous..even the bullies(that's why their bullies..theyr'e insecure. Do your best at the schoolwork and be yourself . You'll make REAL friends that way...they'll like you for you and will always be there for you. If you try to be "cool" just to impress someone it'll backfire on you..the kids who were "cool" when I was in school are NOT what we all expected them to be. The nerds are the ones with professions and money now. The football players..well what can I say...dumb jock?

don't worry, i was a freshman last year and i was so scared and all my friends had gone to other schools. Just be yourself and don't try to act like the 'popular kids' which is just a bunch of shallow conceited retards who just talk and scream louder than anyone else. just worry bout your studies at first and don't try to fit in and impress people, keep to yourself, but don't be cold and distant, be nice to everyone. In high school everyone has a label, wether you like it or not. and being a nice nerd is one of the most comfortable ones, especially as a girl, trust me.

be yourself and get good grades. enjoy highschool while you can. if i had a choice i'd flunk on purpose and go to school for ever. cuz once you graduate college highschool problems of nervousness and awkwardness are only a tiny itsy witsy little pinch of the problems you are going to face in your lifetime. so have fun, relax, be yourself, get good grades, and don't get pregnant!!! Otherwise you automatically graduate from having fun to being an actual adult with a boring life full of problems.

I'm a freshman too. Just take it easy and don't try to act cool. Be yourself and see what happens. We're in the struggle together lol. By the way, my school is HUGE too, and we have even more added with construction!

Remember this: this is a fun time in your life- things that go badly won't matter after it's all done though, so have fun, and don't take it too seriously. Oh, and use your head. Common sense will win the day!

In the grand scheme of things what people think about you in high school doesn't matter. Ask anyone who has graduated from college.
