If I don't out and out tell a woman that I like her, I will usually do other subtle things to show her. I will call her to tell her I just want to hear the melodious sound of her voice. I also will touch her hand when flirting with her. Sending cards is always good. Usually by then she will get the message. ;)

i usually try to strike up an intelligent converstion with her. i observe her from afar and notice what she is into and introduce myself usually by saying "hey, i like ...too" if , after the intro, i'm still interested, then i take the conversation far enough to see if i can get a number or ask her to meet for coffee or something to further get to know her. i will alwyas offer to buy because chivalry is not dead, it's just well hidden! you don't send her flowers or cards or anything like that until after the first "real" date!

I would take her out on a romatic date and when the mood is right I'll tell her how I feel in a gentle way.
