How do I tell someone I've been w/ for five years that I need to leave. I'm going to pack my stuff while he's at work b/c I know if he's there when I do it I won't be able to do it, but know that I need to. He will destroy all of my things important or not. I know they're just things but he'll try to destroy stuff that has sentimental value to me. How do I tell him? Should I tell him? Should I just leave? He'll be at work and I'm suppose to pick him up after work. Should I show up or not?

if you are afraid he will destroy your property, then move it out while he is at work. then pick him up from work take him home and when he sees your stuff isn't there, tell him, then leave. don't give him your new address or phone number so he can't talk you into going back with him. it takes alot of strength what your doing, good luck!

My husband left me 2 weeks ago without any warning or reason. I deserved to know that he was leaving, and why. Pack your stuff, put it somewhere safe, pick him up from work and tell him in a public place. It'll be safer for you that way. Then, you can either drop him off at home, or he can find alternative transportation. If you need out, and you have been together for 5 years, he has the right to know, from you, face to face.

I think you should talk to him, preferably but not necessarily before you leave. You haven't said why you're leaving, but if he is likely to destroy your stuff, then you're making the right decision.

Do it with class. Sit him down and tell him. If you've decided that you're definitely leaving, then be firm and don't let him talk you into staying.
