Scotch Bonnet

Definition: This small (1 to 1-1/2 inches in diameter), irregularly shaped chile ranges in color from yellow to orange to red. The Scotch bonnet is one of the hottest of the chiles and is closely related to the equally fiery jamaican hot and the habanero.

Habanero

Definition: [ah-bah-NEH-roh] This distinctively flavored, extremely hot chile is small and lantern-shaped. It's native to the Caribbean, the Yucatan and the north coast of South America. The habanero ranges from light green to bright orange when ripe. It's generally used for sauces in both its fresh and dried form.

If you are from the North, they are scotch bonnets, if you are from the south, they are Habenerro.

No difference in the peppers (or their heat levels!!!), only the name.
