My dog is a 7 year old rescued border collie that we have had for a year now. Recently we got a kitten as our cat died. We have had him for 4 months now. The first incident was the kitten charging up the stares and attacking the dogs face and the dog bit his ear, resulting in a vet trip and them both being in trouble as both are being trained to leave each other alone. Today the dog just randomly turned her head and bit his ear again while they we're both waiting to be fed (they are fed separately) which she has never done before. Normally the cat walks around her while eating and they are fine, and generally they sleep together and get along quite well. Any ideas what to do? The dog is getting Bark Buster lessons soon for some of her other behavior, so I am hoping something can be done as I don't want to get rid of either of them. We do have rabbits as well, but they are generally in the back yard well away and fenced off from the dog, so we don't know how she is with them... thanks!

We live in town centre - so they are both indoor (the yard is a typical british yard, only room for bunnies, no grass, high brick wall etc)

Also - no local trainer will have her as she use to bite people...

Sorry - more about the dog: She spent the previous 6 years chained in a yard with dead dogs, horses and chickens, she was beaten all the time and all her teeth are broken, she is a special case you see, the RSPCA wouldn't even have her...
