First of all, not all ex-military are eligible to re-enlist -- it depends. If you are ex-military, and want to re-enlist -- you need to first talk to the recruiter of the service you are considering. That is what will make the determining factor here (plus age and physical status/conditioning)

They can re-enlist. The current age limit is the same for former military except they use what is called "constructive age". They subtract the number of years you previously served from your actual age. Therefore if you had 4 years prior service and the age limit was 42, you could enlist up to 46 years of age.

The army has just recently raised the age limit to 42. The other branches, i believe, are still the same they had before. I wouldn't be worrying about a draft, it would take more than what is going on now for that to happen.

i'm not sure but i think there's no age limit, just a preference to who will get enlisted. in case of drafting the young and healthy goes first then the middle age men and then if it does come to it, old people. f hte man is ex-military that means the army can call him up anytime. but you can't expect someone 45 years old to be in the military. 40 would probably be good though.

ex military can reenlist. the age limit is typically 30 or 31 but any military time extends it. for example 6 years active service gives you until 36 and so on.

Current (at least for the Army) the upper age limit is 42.

there are offers out there for former military to re-enlist. However, if they are coming back from a civilian status, they will have to retake and pass all tests that new recruits take. However, they most likely won't have to go back to boot camp... unless they've been out for too long.

You can. But only if you got out on good terms...if you were kicked out then no.
