By "police department" I mean a fully operational police department with sworn police officers, NOT just security guards. I am aware of only one such university campus. Do you know of any others. Please post links, if so.

Go to the administration link, and look up the Department of Public Safety.
We have our own campus police department that works in close ties with the Weatherford department. They are not security guards; they are sworn officers.

University of North Texas, Texas Women's University, University of Texas (entire college system), each of the campuses of the Dallas County Community College District. I would imagine that most, if not all, do have their own police department.

It will depend on the state law in that state. For example in GA, almost everyone of the state schools and many of the private ones all have thier own sworn officers.
I am not sure of any list of which ones do or don't.
