I was 25 when I had my first son and 30 with my second son. I am a single mother and at my age I feel I was still too young to do it alone. Please learn from your friends and take precautions-if you are sexually active-it is best to wait. I wish you and your friends the best of luck and be careful.

I was 19 when I had my first son. It was HARD. Having a kid at a young age is not good at all. But the best thing you can do is be strong and thing about your child first all the time!! I had a best friend that was 16 when she had her son, and all she cared about was going out with her boyfriend and parting. I was always watching the baby. And I kept telling her that she needs to be there for her baby. I am not trying to sound mean or nothing... but at that age if you can be having sex, then you can be responsible and take care of your baby and put the baby first over everything. You brought him into the world not by his choice, least make his life the best. I am not trying to sound rude or hurtfull and Im not saying that your going to be that way. Im just saying I wish the best for you and always remember if you keep the Lord in your life and be really strong, you will be a wonderfull mom, no matter how old you are.

I was 19 for my first and 26 for my third. I think that's all I ever wanted was to have a baby. Now I wish I had waited there is plenty of time to have a baby. Girls should go out and have fun with friends not be so worried about boyfriends. We look for love but in the wrong places. If we love ourselves first all the rest will come. I would never force my daughter to have an abortion though. It is hard to have a baby young but we only think of the the cute little baby we can dress up and take out. Nobody will be there when the baby is sick 3 nights in a row throwing up and that is all you want to do is go back to sleep. This world is twisted. I don't regret it but if I could I would have waited.

I was 32 when I had my child. I was sixteen when I first started having sex. I knew that there was a chance that I would end up pregnant and I was ready for that. Though having my child when I did I am glad that it wasn't then. I don't believe in abortion and would never tell my daughter or anyone to get one. I also think that if you start having sex you need to be ready for the chance of getting pregnant. Giving birth is wonderful but it is painful and sometimes not easy. Raising a child is not easy either you have to be ready to give up a lot for your child's best interest. I am glad that I enjoyed life before my child and I am glad that I have her. I wouldn't change a thing. I got to enjoy all of life and now I get to enjoy being a mother with the good and the bad.

I was 19 when I had my son, he's 3 now and my daughter is 1. I do think 16 is too young to have a baby but unless you absolutely can NOT take care of your child and the circumstances are really bad, you should not have an abortion.

I was 17. It was hard for a while but not so much anymore. It doesn't really matter when you have children, it's how committed you are to making sure they grow up right. There are a lot of very young moms out there doing an awesome job and they don't get enough credit. All the news stories are about the 11-yr-old crack addict with 8 children. But most young moms do a great job.

I had my daughter 2 days before I turned 17 and I was married but I never regret having my daughter and she is 16 now.
I don't personally think that abortion is the right answer when there are so many people out there that cant have kids. I think that if they went through with it then they and their families would have the chance to see the baby and decide from there.
