Quickest I would have thought id flying, cheapest is coach. Take the train as it is faster than driving or coach and not as expensive as flying.

I can assure you that the cheapest way is to go to a car auction
buy a car with maybe 1 month MOT & tax, insure for 1 week,
if thats how long you intend to stay,or 1 day !! When you are
ready just sell the car to cover your fuel & insurance costs.
There you go free trip!!!

the coach would be the cheapest,national express operate from aberdeen to london.they stop at dundee bus station ,you can also check stagecoach and megabus .there base is in perth and there fairs are very cheap you can book online at www.megabus.com

If you can book in advance the train can be as cheap as the coach, if it is a last min thing the coach would be cheapest.
