I am a Mormon and I know my faith and belifes are true. I would not want to live my life with out my faith.
To clear up some misconceptions that have been written here:
1-We believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. The offical name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
2-We believe in the Bible, and the Book of Mormon. We believe that the Bible was God's dealings and teaching with people in the old world and that the Book of Mormon is a record of God's dealings with his people on the American Continent. We use both in our worship services and we teach from both books.
3-We believe that our Chruch was resotred thru the Prophet Joseph Smith. We believe in prophets and have a living prophet today. Because we belive in propehts we believe that God continues to give revelation just as he did in ancient times.
4-We do not believe in polyagmy. Peope who are polygamists today are not members of the Church or are ex-communicated.
5-We do not force our religon on people, rather missionaries teach people about our faith, and invite them to be baptized. No one is forced into the Church. We believe that we are all God's children and that he loves all people regardless of race, nationality or actions and that he has given all of us the power to choose the way we live our lives.

Some of the nicest people I know are Mormon. When my father was injured at work and bedridden for a few weeks, our Mormon neighbors did the yard work and any handy-man type chores my mother had without us even asking for help. They didn't preach at us or expect anything in return. I'm sure there are just as many that aren't as nice, and those 18 year old missionaries can get annoying, but when I think of Mormons, I think of that family and how kind they are.

I can't not will I speak for everybody.
I have some friends who are Mormon. They are some of the best friends that I have ever had. Things about their religion I don't understand though, I guess with all due time, that knowledge will come. But there are some that do get on my nerves, specifically the d u m b a s s racists ones. Oh well, there's bad apples in every group.

I just find it funny that the people that ridicule and badger the Mormon religion the most are the ones that understand it the least.
Mormons do not recruit people, they invite. There is a big difference.
I have several Mormon friends that treat me with respect and dignity. They are good people trying to do good things in an evil society.

I have a girlfriend who is a mormon and she and her husband are nice people. Among other religions mormonism is not the worst confession, i know that some branches of it are more like mystery cults. I do not like those obsessed people, i would stay away form them.
I like that regular mormons are active, visiting strange people and talking to them about the god, i like that your churches have a lot of missionaries around the world who devote their life to helping others. I think here mormons are more "christian" than those who only go to church, preach and never help anyone looking down upon the non-christian people.
These are just some abstract thoughts, i don't go to any church.

I am not Mormon, but I respect the Mormons greatly. In the bible it says that all people of faith are supposed to be out spreading the word, like going door to door, and really the only faith I see doing that is Mormon. They put up with harassment, ridicule, and everything else you could imagine, yet they are still out there daily trying to spread the word of God. How could that not be admirable? Plus I couldn't imagine myself out riding a bike around all day.
Also, they are the only 2 religions that when I asked them "If I don't believe in your religion, and choose a different one, will I goto hell?", thier answer was "no, you won't goto hell".

I totally support people right to invest their lives as they choose to as large an extent possible, some investments may be less good than others and some investments you lose your shirt on
I think since the founder Joseph Smith was hunting for treasure using divininng stones which the Bible forbids when he encountered the spirit claiming to be the angel Moroni, I think it is good to have a healthy skeptisism about it.
It is no coincidence that the first Mormon temple was a masonic lodge in Navrue Illinois and after Joseph Smith recieved the 3rd level Mason degree he started incorporating Masonic ideas into his system of bleief. Most Christians recognize the Masons as something to avoid showing Joseph Smith as not being as discerning as he might be casting doubts on his claims to be a prophet
Also the idea that the god of this earth is married and we are form god and mrs god who were Mormans long ago who achieved godhood ( a characteristic of Utah Mormons not Missouri ones) is about as foreign to the Bible as possible and 'you shall have no fals Gods before you' is a serious concern. Since Mormonism is incompatible with the Bible it has no choice but to cliam the Bible to be corrupt throwing out the better book for the worse
bottom line since Joseph Smith believed there were people who lived to be 1000 years old on the moon dressed like quakers.. it is a healthy level of skeptism to say he had some wrong notions wbout heaven and to look for better infomation elsewhere

I have some great respect for them. They are hardcore in their beliefs. But the beliefs of mormons are skewed. Here are a few examples.
God used to be a man on another planet, Mormon Doctrine, p. 321. Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, Vol 5, pp. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, Vol 2, p. 345, Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333.)
After you become a good Mormon, you have the potential of becoming a god, (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pages 345-347, 354.)
God is married to his goddess wife and has spirit children, (Mormon Doctrine p. 516.)
Good works are necessary for salvation, Articles of Faith, p. 92.)
There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God, (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1, p. 188.)

It is just one of the many false directions that Satan offers to keep people away from the Biblical Jesus. Satan knows that a fasle Christ can't save squat.
This is a great site by a former 46 year Reformed Latter Day Saint member:(You can email her, and she will answer you if you have a decent question to ask to begin with. You'll find direct quotes from Joseph Smith and other Mormon leaders.)
eg, "I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. Neither Paul, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day-Saints never ran away from me yet."

I think that most Mormons are very moral, good people. They seem to have family values and traditional morals at the heart of their beliefs. Though i do not agree with their theology, in general I believe them to be good, honest people.
