Dang it. I was not going to answer this one, so I read all the responses, and, no wonder America is so chubby.
Sugar, fats, salts......
Seemingly, your choice is to either eat roots and twigs, or eat what you want, get fat, and die of every ailment in the annals of modern medicine.
To answer your question, it all depends on what is in the flavoring they put in your coffee, and how active you are after you drink it.
If you sit still for hours after drinking it, any sugar, carbs, calories, that does not get burned will add it's bit to your poundage. If you are active, and only drink the coffee, I bet you burn off the sugar, carbs, calories, in the flavoring.
I heard somewhere that if you suddenly cut back on your food intake, your body will think you are in a famine, and will slow down the sugar, carb, calorie, burning. If this is the case, then slowly cut down on your sugar, carb, calories, do more exercising, and keep your bod in some kind of motion at all times. People who fidget burn sugars, carbs, calories faster than non-fidgeters.
So, in summary, drink your flavored coffee and fidget until lunch :)

Never mind the sugar content listed, check the carbohydrate content. 12grams of carbohydrate is equal to 1tbsp of sugar. If you are trying to lose weight, you should restrict carb intake to about 55 grams per day. Flavoured coffees average anywhere between 11 and 25 grams per serving.. in some cases, half your recommended daily allowance.. so yes they can be considered fattening. If you want a coffee that is lower in sugar, which is really the enemy, use whole cream or whole milk.. Skim milk has added sugar to make up for the missing fat content. Sugar puts the weight on .. not the fat in milk products. Do´n't believe..check your carb content on the milk containers the next time you are shopping.
Some examples for you
nestle instant 1pkt-16grams 4 tsp sugar
swiss miss sidewalk cafe 20 grams -5 tsp sugar
cinnamon-maxwell house 16 grams- 4 tsps sugar
mocha-nestle 21grams 5 tsp sugar
swiss miss cinnamon sidewalk cafe 20.5 grams- 5 tsp sugar
carnation instant breakfast mocha cafe 28 grams 8 tsps sugar
ice coffee Jamaican gold 1 can 29 grams 8 tsps sugar
jamaican gold latte 27 grams- 7.5 tsp sugar
that means even though you are not adding sugar, you are getting 12 tsp's anyway in some cases..
coke has 27grams in an eight ounce glass 7.5 tsp sugar
pepsi caffeine free has 41 that is almost 12 tsp's of sugar in an 8 ounce glass..
Is it anyone North American are Super Sizing.

It's about 20 calories per pump of the flavored syrup, so just switch to sugar free.

It depends on the flavoring or syrup. If the syrup is sugar-free and calorie free then no, you won't gain weight, but you have to check since more flavorings are...

Any coffee is fattening . . . any food that provides more calories to your body than it takes to consume it is by definition fattening, as it makes you gain weight.

yes it does, especially the mocha and cappuchino because they use that heavy whipping cream, and some coffees have chocolate syrup and what have you, so the answer is yes
