You might have been using way too much products that contain Silicone. Nowadays shampoos and conditioners are saturated with this element and can cause the same effect that you are experiencing. That said, use a clarifying shampoo like Neutrogena once a while and use a ceramic curling iron to creat loose curls at the ends of your hair.
