Answer - the fighting in Darfur does seem to be getting increased attention from the American government and the international community. For once, I'll agree with you - it's a crying shame no one's put a stop to it sooner.

It is really a sad issue what happens in Africa with all the starvations and killings. We should send a letter to the United Nations and see if there is something that they could do.As an American I feel that all Americans should write the UN and try to get involoved.

Why does America have to be the Watch Dog of the World?
We can't control everything. Write to congressmen, your representative, speak out about what you know. Write Oprah.

The only thing you can do is make people aware of the situation so that we may help. Light a candle, so that others may light theirs.

There are mass murders on every part of our planet. You say what about Africa, I say what about the USA? We tend to help everyone else but I think we should help our own people first!

I think we (the US) need to deal with our own problems and let these other countries deal with theirs. No matter what we do people will bi*ch b/c either, we knew people needed help and did nothing OR we stuck our nose in someone else's business and should have minded our own. Either way, we're going to piss someone off.
