actually, he thinks of a MAN and takes away reason & accountability but....
Considering the character who utter the line, most women were not offended.

No I love that movie and that line in particular.
I am only offended by jokes against women that are delivered in a mean or demeaning way.
For example in the film, Jack Nicholsons character is defined by his intolerance and his grumpiness - it would be unrealistic for that character to come out with a politically correct or gender tolerant joke.
Anyway, we all know at least one bird brained woman who that line applies to.
Great film, good question!

I thought it was funny. Some women are like that. I didn't see any reason to take offense. It was a funny line.

this is such a classic line and actually holds more truth than most people realise despite the personality of the character delivering it. I never really considered it much but the older I get the more relevance this line holds

It was a great line, very much in keeping with Jack Nicholson's character. (Actually, watched it again last night!)
It's only a movie, what would there to get pissed off about?

It's a clever line but don't you think being called unreasonable and unaccountable would be considered insulting?! I personally wasn't offended. I know I am reasonable and accountable.

i think you meant to say "i think of a MAN and take away reason and accountability"
I would have probably used: take away pride and insecurity.
But i actually prefer the original you wrote, i'd just change it to "How do you write men so well?
I think of a woman and take away reason and accountability."
As you can probably tell i thought it was a stupid line. I really laughed when I saw it in the movie though because he said it to a woman he liked :) It's a great pickup line :)

Actually it didn't piss me off at all. It's just a movie, and besides that's one of my favorite movies.
