Good question, Paxman, and the answer may not be so simple. I think most women use character as the main way to select a potential partner. However, looks are certainly a factor. There has to be some chemistry between the two. Woman are attracted to many different types of men though so I think you should always go for it. If that person doesn't like you, there are plenty of others that will. Good luck!

It depends on the woman. Most women want a man with looks and good character but there are some women out there who look beyond a man's appearence such as myself. I look for quality not quanity in a man. If he has a great personality and a great sense of humor as well as a God Fearing man then there isn't much else that he really needs. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and frankly, I just don't care about looks personally. God doesn't love us because of the way we look. So, why should we choose to be with someone because of the way that person may look?

It depends. Some women like looks. Some women like character. Most women fall for both. It all depends on who they are. different women like different people.

Both. But I tell a guy with confidence and a great senseof humor is so attractive. Although my husband is the whole package there have been many times in the past before I was married that I found myself drawn to guys who really made me laugh.

it's a combination - like i've said before a good looking guy with no character can suddenly become so/so looking & a so/so looking guy with wonderful character can suddenly become very attractive. at least that's how it works for me - i very rarely date "traditionally" good looking men. i date the guy that makes me laugh, treats me with the utmost respect, has a life of his own, takes care of his mind and body, & doesn't mind getting up in the morning and going to work.

I personally judge by character but if they have character and good looks that's a plus.
