There is a jack on the back of your tower labeled Audio Input. Your tape player output goes in there.
Now you need an audio capturing program such as Roxio EZ Media Creator. I'm not sure if Nero will capture audio or not ? Most programs that do capture audio has options to filter out noise, scratch, hiss etc.
This Audio Input will connect to any audio device such as phonograph, tape player etc.
Have Fun !

If it is only music (songs etc), then have patience. You will find it all in digitized format (mp3,wma,rma etc.), sooner or later, somewhere or the other.
Otherwise, it is a long process to copy music from Cassette player because you will have to let the song play completely at its standard speed, while simultaneously recording it. So, for copying a full cassette, you need atleast an hour's time. Secondly, it is very likely that you get some hissing sound while recording it on PC. But still if you want to do it then I suggest, go to a professional shop and get your music/video converted to CD.
Convinced ?
No.....?
Then listen, you need a special sound card with stereophonic inputs. Generally, the built in cards are monophonic for recording and stereophonic for playing back.
Never mind ! is that what you said ?
Ok, then purchase a Y shape cable. Should not cost more than half a dollar(USD). The Y shape cable,as evident, has two jacks at one end and a single jack at the other. The two jacks will be inserted in the output sockets of your cassette player and the single jack will be inserted in the microphone socket of the PC.
For more details now, if you need them, you will have to e-mail me the queries.
Bye for the moment.
