I feel that "God" is an over-simplification of the driving force behind the universe. My view is that particles form atoms which form molecules that form compounds that ultimately brought about a cell which forms tissue that forms organs, etc. All those things are related and at the same time operate independantly and dependantly of each other. I feel that the universe may be one large living entity that has a subconcious/concious (metaphorically) way of controlling itself just as with the human body or as with other forms of life. Think of a ray of light. It may seem insignificant it may be ONE ray but what if that one ray happened to shine on the earth hitting a piece of dew in the desert where it is really hot and dry and it magnifies sparking a fire in an oasis causing it to completely burn down? Do you understand where I'm going with this? I'm implying with the "Ray of Light" scenario that every event in the universe affects something if not everything. This is my belief.

1 Cor 12:12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

Eph 4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called-- one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Rom 12:5 So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Eph 4:16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

1 Cor 12:20-21 As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!"

1 Cor 12:26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it

1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

1John 4:20 If anyone says “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar.

it seems you have an animist chaos theory, which is interesting, but there are several things you can't explain with that, such as the beginning of life. something had to exist before matter, and that something had to be eternal. there is no "universal consciousness" or anything like that.

God is in no way simple. i don't know where you're getting your theological information, but I'd advise getting a Christian book such as Knowing God by J. I. Packer, and get a real view of who God really is before you start classifying Him as a simplification. if the total dependence/total independence theory is what you classify as complicated, then it's time for a reality check, I'm afraid. God is infinitely complex, and we are finite, so that alone puts God on an entirely different plain of complexity than "Ray of Light". do some research, please. i hope your eyes are opened.

ps the "Ray of Light" theory you presented is actually the Chaos Theory, commonly known as the Butterfly Affect. (i.e., the flap of a butterfly's wings on the Pacific Rim causes a hurricane in the Atlantic). just thought I'd clarify that for yah.

Yes, the concept of God has been oversimplified. But even then all do not understand. You are correct when you say all are interconnected, dependent etc.

This concept is called the, " Cause and Effect". You are free to act: In any way. But you have to be prepared to face the effect. That way every thing is connected.

Since no one lives in isolation in this world, a minimum of 2 or more persons are always involved whenever there is an action, in some way. Thus the effect sperads. And weaves a magical effect.

Nah, I find this view to be more comical than explenational. So Everything happened by accident huh? why is the universe baron with the exception of planet earth? Think of it like this, picture the eyeball. The lens is nothing without the retina, the retina needs the optic nerves, rods, cones etc... One part of the eye is useless without the others, so all parts ofthe eye developed at the same time? Think of the extreme complexity that occurs everytime you take a breath, taking the oxygen out, releasing the carbon dioxide, carrying the oxygen throught the blood. The human form is FAR too perfect for it to have come into existence "accidentally" there IS a God and he DID design humans and everything else in existence

I do admired the way you have allow your self to use your intelligent cell's, though lol...., knowing that God originally was a single energy, that will travel within the darkness, and within the dark emptiness of space and time, your belief, that basically hypothetical theory that in your mind try to travel forward into the original theories of matter's, I say, you need to learn something about the essences, and don't stuck your self in what the substances has to offer, because chemically what you say, is possible do I do believed in my intelligence, sometimes I just don't trust my own desires, or my own heart., though I do trust God, intelligent design, and the gift of intelligence he gave me, and you and the Human being he originally create, out of the positives energies, which Willl begun to follow HIM, as he will spread his essences in search for the Physical entity, HIM(God), discover he will need to create a new existence that wil allow HIM, to store information, experience, and memories of his prior good and positive experience> Why is it, so hard to understand that God is a positi force, that will take control of Time, that a relative force, he will use to create his own time, and his own heaven, (Home), that he will decorate to allow the possitive energies that were following HIM, to learn from his own desires to achieved a physical entity. to become and into a new existence achieved a life. and become HIM(God), THE CREATOR, OF HEAVENS AND EARTH. why? , The light, and better yet the Hypotetical light is God inteligent, and not just a ray of the Sun, His best Gift to man to become. and you are the proof, just keep consciousness of following and respecting the 10 commandements. Good luck. This is all about "Cause and Effects", better Cause will equial better Effects. for some.

I believe God is an "unknowable essence". Since we are His creation, whatever I can imagine He is, He isn't. Since a painting can never know its artist.

But I CAN know His qualities by the appearances of the Founders of all the Great World Religions. Just as I can know that heat and light are qualities of the sun, when I feel and see it reflected in a perfectly-polished mirror, I can know the loving-kindness, mercy, generosity, compassion, love, etc.--qualities of God, when I read the Teachings of the Great Prophets, God's perfect Manifestations, in their Sacred Books.

2: PROOFS AND EVIDENCES OF THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

5
One of the proofs and demonstrations of the existence of God is the fact that man did not create himself: nay, his creator and designer is another than himself.
It is certain and indisputable that the creator of man is not like man because a powerless creature cannot create another being. The maker, the creator, has to possess all perfections in order that he may create.
Can the creation be perfect and the creator imperfect? Can a picture be a masterpiece and the painter imperfect in his art? For it is his art and his creation. Moreover, the picture cannot be like the painter; otherwise, the painting would have created itself. However perfect the picture may be, in comparison with the painter it is in the utmost degree of imperfection.
The contingent world is the source of imperfections: God is the origin of perfections. The imperfections of the contingent world are in themselves a proof of the perfections of God.
For example, when you look at man, you see that he is weak. This very weakness of the creature is a proof of the power of the Eternal Almighty One, because, if there were no power, weakness could not be imagined. Then the weakness of the creature is a proof of the power of God; for if there were no power, there could be no weakness; so from this weakness it becomes evident that there is power in the world. Again, in the contingent world there is poverty; then necessarily wealth exists, since poverty is 6 apparent in the world. In the contingent world there is ignorance; necessarily knowledge exists, because ignorance is found; for if there were no knowledge, neither would there be ignorance. Ignorance is the nonexistence of knowledge, and if there were no existence, nonexistence could not be realized.
It is certain that the whole contingent world is subjected to a law and rule which it can never disobey; even man is forced to submit to death, to sleep and to other conditions—that is to say, man in certain particulars is governed, and necessarily this state of being governed implies the existence of a governor. Because a characteristic of contingent beings is dependency, and this dependency is an essential necessity, therefore, there must be an independent being whose independence is essential.
In the same way it is understood from the man who is sick that there must be one who is in health; for if there were no health, his sickness could not be proved.
Therefore, it becomes evident that there is an Eternal Almighty One, Who is the possessor of all perfections, because unless He possessed all perfections He would be like His creation.
Throughout the world of existence it is the same; the smallest created thing proves that there is a creator. For instance, this piece of bread proves that it has a maker.
Praise be to God! the least change produced in the form of the smallest thing proves the existence of a creator: then can this great universe, which is endless, be self-created and come into existence from the action of matter and the elements? How self-evidently wrong is such a supposition!
These obvious arguments are adduced for weak souls; but if the inner perception be open, a hundred thousand clear proofs become visible. Thus, when man feels the indwelling spirit, he is in no need of arguments for its existence; but for those who are deprived of the bounty of the spirit, it is necessary to establish external arguments.

This sounds Celtic in line of thought. Interesting, basically we are all connected by and through "God".

Keep on believing, keep on loving your fellow man. There are no stones headed your way from me. I'm a Pelagianist so most right wing "Christians" feel I'm ready for the to be burned at the stake anyway. What could I know about theology?

Even the Bible confirms that God is everywhere and is a part of everything. To God time and space have no meaning. He is and always was significant in everything in this entire universe.
In physics, every action has a reaction. So yes every event in the universe effects something else.

What you describe as the underlying mechanisms of the universe might be true. However, one might want to think about the origin of these mechanisms, matter, and light. That's where God, the great designed and Creator comes into play. One might also think about the origin of love and the diversity present in the universe. That looks like God's handwriting, too.
