Medically, it's been shown that alcohol is worse for you with respect to the possible level of addiction, as well as its detriment to one's general health.
With that said, I do feel that both affect each person differently. Some people are fine on weed, but get crazy on alcohol. Others have an addiction to alcohol, but can smoke weed and be just fine.

Actually they r both not good, but alcohol is worse, because
1. it is not natural as weed is (as in grown)
2. weed is known to be used for healing purposes but alcohol does more damage to your liver and the rest of the body.
and the down side to weed is the munchies if you are trying to lose weight.
But plain and simple alcohol is definitely the worst.
As to religion , well thats deep and can be personal reasons but I don't know to many religion that condones either one, althought wine is excepted by catholics yet some indian tribes except weed as catholics do the wine, But don't quote me on that last one tho I could be wrong

Anything that leads to debauchery is a shame(not sin as so many say) You should limit you consumption of any substance that may delude your better judgment. In practice using any drug medicinally I view is fine a beer after work to ease the stress or a toke to calm the nerves would be fine, no more than taking an Advil for a headache is a sin, but be careful these things can all lead to addiction and sin.

I think that alcohol is so much worse because I know lots of perfectly nice people that turn into mean drunks but anyone I ever knew that smoked weed just got even more mellow when they were high. I mean have you ever heard of someone getting high on marijuana and then going and knocking off a liquor store? No because they are way too unmotivated.

It depends on the individual. Alcohol addiction can kill you, whereas weed addiction can not. Alcohol addiction is a physical addiction, weed addiction is psychological. You can OD on alcohol, but not on TCH.
But if you use it in moderation, weed is probably less dangerous overall as long as it's not smoked (which caused cancer). But moderate alcohol usage has actual health benefits.
Of course, there's the legality issue. Alcohol is generally legal, and pot generally isn't. in a perfect libertarian society this wouldn't be an issue, but in the police state most of us live in it is.

By law weed is worse. As far as health and ability to function, I think alcohol is worse. This also depends on the individual.

Its hard to make a decision on that...I loved getting high..and I agree with the other person...I always knew what I was doing...BUT I now have short term memory problems...and this is 5 years later! I think that in the long term, marajuana is worse for your body. But then again, alcohol can have horrible effects to your body as well...if you dont drink in moderation.

For Health reasons it not a very sensible idea to smoke weed
It can give many health problems later in life .
Alcohol in moderation in my view is less harmful .
People do say that almost anything in moderation can do more good than harm.

In moral terms, the substance used or abused is not the issue, but the patterns of destructive and irresponsible behavior that ensue from a given person's use.
Socio-medically, it is fairly clear that alcohol is much more destructive, at least in the USA. Partially this is due to the intrinsic socio-medical harms of the substance, and partially due to the vastly greater prevalence of alcohol in the US. The principal socio-medical risk of cannabis is, of course, incarceration. But addiction is possible to either substance, and you are perfectly capable of ruining your life with either if you choose to do so.
