I know it has something to do with my equilibrium, but even if I wind down slowly it still happens.
I feel as though the floor is still moving beneath my feet and I have to hold onto the machine for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, I've watched other people just jump right off - no problem!!

What's the deal?

PS - this happens on those moving floors at airports, too.
I can't use those for this reason.

That is very common, and trainers at my gym always warn people not to just jump off, to stand and let the liquid in your inner ear that controls your balance settle back down

It happens to me too...

I think you need to start exercising by doing smaller things like sit-ups and push-ups. Then you can do bigger workouts.
