i can't seem to get a girl friend and i don't know why
i'm one of the nicest guys around and im not the hotest guy but im not ugly either and im an athlete. I'm also not like most guys around my skool because they mistreat their and cheat on their girl friends. does it effect my that im shy and that im shorter average by almost a foot?

Hey, don't rush these things, so what If you don't have a gf even when your like 20 yrs old? Don't get all bumbed out because everyone else has one, don't let anyone pressure you into thinking that your ugly because no girl ever fell in love with you. So what? You never know, some girl from behind might have some special feelings towards you, but is way too shy and embarassed to tell you.
take your time in finding the right girl to avoid any future REGRETS... come on, you don't need a girl friend to be happy at this time, you just probably want one because you see majority of the guys has one, but i know you know that their relationship won't work out eventually(as you've stated how other men cheat on their gf), so why be jealous?
Just keep SEARCHING, and remember to interact with girls in a FRIENDLY and non aggressive way, Ban those lame pick up lines from your vocabulary, and show your true self. Because i think a girl friend is someone who accepts all of you, whole heartedly. Because we Human beings form relationships with the opposite sex for the sake of companionship, not for worldly pleasure or peer pressure.

Woman love confident men. The only time they like a shy guy is when they are tall and cute. Work on your confidence and just be yourself. As you said, you are nice and athletic. It is not true that nice guys finish last. When girls are young they like the bad boys but then when they are older they start realizing that they deserve to be treated properly and all the popular guys turn out to be the losers, wishing they had a girlfriend.

Being short and shy should not be the problem. Are you clean? Have you had your teeth checked? Bad breath can be a total turn off (I'm not saying this to be mean, either.) Other than that, just be yourself. Some girl will notice you and off you'll go. Good luck.

If it's height or your looks keeping the ladies away, then they're ladies you don't want. You are in high school, right? If I could go back to high school and re-do this part of my life, I would forget about dating and focus on my studies. Trust me, you have your whole life to date, and it becomes 20 times easier after you are out of school. Mostly because that's when you discover that it IS possible to be comfortable in your own skin:) I wish you luck in finding someone super special to share yourself with, but remember.... it's not that important at this time in your life. Just have fun!

short guys are cute, shy guys are cute, you just need to build some confidence, and go up and talk to some girl your really digging, make it casual, if she has some friends in common with you, ask ur friends if u all can get together, and then go up and invite her, then talk to her and get to know her better while your with your friends, but make her your priority, give her lots of attention (but dont be clingy or too nosey) and then at the end of the night if it went great, ask her if you can have her number to "hang out sometime again" and tell her you had fun!! & compliment her!!

we girls are a mixture of shyness and superficiality sometimes so don't bother finding out the reasons, don't worry about being shy or not too tall, most of us like athlete and nice guys specially if they are not too interested in us, that's quite important

i dont think so - maybe you just havent met the right girl yet. ITs true - good guys always finish last - but you know they ALWAYS get the girl in the end!

from my point of veiw guys need to be outgoing, so try to be a lil more out going and it would help if u r taller...... but just be yourself.
