It's not. Its illegal to have 2 driver's licenses. Ex: I have one for CA and NV, I can't show them both to the cop that pulls me over.

I think it depend on what identification, if it in different situation like people identification and student identification it doesn't matter. But if you have more than one like two people identification, it's illegal because the number of people in the country when cencus happen will be increase. Can you imagine if 2 of 10 people in the world have more than one, how many people in the world will be ?

While laws vary from state to state, usually it would not be illegal to have more than one form of identification. If the information on both forms , such as name and address match, and are accurate, this shouldn't be a problem.

When criminals do this -- no it is illegal -- because they are trying to avoid being identified.
When law-abiding individuals do this -- they carry their Driver's Licenses, their Voter's Identification, their Job identification cards, etc etc etc -- so that is just a part of life, correctly identifying themselves by name, address, etc.

No, but if you are talking about two driver's licenses then yes. You have a buffer but you have to get a new license when moving to another state. Also it is illegal to have two with different names.

Of course not!! Unless you mean to ask if it is illegal to have two different identities in your IDs. In that case, of course it is. Obviously, one of the ID is a fake. Its called document fraud. And by law, if you move to another state, you are supposed to turn in your old drivers license.

I assume you mean for two different identities. No its not illegal so long as you have a legal purpose for using an alternate identity.

Many businesses request you provide two forms of picture I.D., but they better be of the person possessing it. And remember, a social security card is not a form of ID
