Go to the Alcoholics Anonymous homepage or to Unhooked.com. Both sites can help you find a meeting that works with your schedule and is located near you. Also, you might call your local Department of Health-they can assist with meetings since they monitor the treatment programs. Good Luck!

Try here: http://www.aa.org/en_find_meeting.cfm where it says: "Alcoholics Anonymous is worldwide with A.A. meetings in almost every community. You can find times and places of local A.A. meetings or events by contacting a nearby central office, intergroup or answering service of U.S. and Canada. Please click here. The General Service Office does not maintain local meeting information."

Clicking on "click here" yields the following contact:

I spent some time in Georgia. In rural areas, there seemed to be little social mixing between drinkers and non-drinkers (except that ex-drinkers, abstainers for reason of health rather than religion, might mingle with drinkers). It is a matter of the conservative religious climate in small towns.

Look in the phone book. Call any listed and they can give you info to the one closest to you. This group, by the way, has a better success rate than other avenues and has been around since 1935.

Try the newspaper under personals or meeting places.

Call your local chapter, I'm sure the number is in the book, and they can tell you when/where meetings are, and/or you can check on line.
