I was told literally that you'll find things like the eyelids and hooves of the cow, occasionally a rat or pigeon will find their way into there, even the occasional finger (if the rest got in without being detected, you got to think the finger could too)? I think I'm making myself sick again.

no, but it is the scrap parts that dont get sold in stores, nothing is wasted when it comes to animals so the grind it all up and ad fillers to stretch it but nothing that isnt from a cow or chicken or pig goes in there, oh and turkey, but thats it, now mystery meat in prison is a different story. it look like it has buggers in it.

If they can get meat out of somewhere, they'll use it. But I don't think they deliberately put bones, or unsavory parts of the animal, in the mixture, on purpose. It's just a fact that some will get in. It's ground up.

If you're interested in foods, and what contaminants they might contain, the FDA created a system of guidelines for food, describing what level of contamination is too much, for each particular food. So, companies are technically allowed to put these things in their food, as long as they stop at the "action level". Brace yourself. Here's an example of the guidelines, for peanut butter

PEANUT BUTTER

Insect filth
Average of 30 or more insect fragments per 100 grams
Rodent filth
Average of 1 or more rodent hairs per 100 grams...

Here's the webpage with the rest of the action levels, for different foods. Find your favorite food, and gross yourself out.

It depends on where they are made.
Some of the have all the extra parts in them. Meaning the parts that the butcher normally does not sell.
I live in Michigan and I know that hot-dogs made here cannot have any animal byproducts in them. The brand "Hebrew hot-dogs" don't either. So just check you lable.

You are absolutly right about the things that goes in the hotdog, but this is definitely not the case in countries with tight food regulations (US and EU for example). If you are living in a country with "stretched" food regulations, you better not eat hotdogs or burgers unless it has a reputable brand-name on it.

But anyway, hotdogs doesn't have meat with good nutrisious value in it.

Many things make up hot dogs....including worms. Read the ingredients on the label and search on the internet for the 'down to earth' meaning of each ingredient.

But, they are good right?!
