I was wondering how effective you think Strattera is. I used to be on Aderral which was very effective, but my new doctor doesn't believe in perscribing addictive drugs (I'm a recovering addict), so I'm now on Strattera. Was just wondering if any of you have had a good experience with it, and if so, at what doseage?

Adderall XR was the only thing that helped my ADHD. Strattera didn't even touch me.

Be warned, Strattera got a black box warning for increasing suicidal thoughts in children and adolescents. If you aren't in either of theose categories, you probably will be fine (unless you have a prior history of depression and suicide attempts/suicidal tendencies.) I would suggest talking to your doctor about it still.

See source for more information.

I hope you find something that works for you!
