Years ago my grandmother was in a really bad car accident and had to receive 7 pints blood transfusion, she would've died if they didn't have enough blood for her, so it's always good to donate blood, I do and I hate needles 2.

when i workled for red cross in high school, i used to volunteer work at the hospital.one saturday a woman who had just given birth was losing alot of bloode, they didnt have 'o' + in the bloode bank ad no one else matched, so i gave bloode, fainted and all. But i saved her life. It was an amazing experience. Only after did we realise i was under age to donate bloode as well as under weight, i was 15yrs old, and 40kgs. But its a special memory iw ill always cherish. I never got to see who i gave bloode to though.

I've donated blood once last year and it was going towards someone who needed it and my plasma as well. The last time I've donated was last year in February. It was my very first time donating and I got sick and dizzy doing that. But, it was worth it.

I give blood just because you never know... my little bit of blood could save someone else's life. Its the same reason I signed my organ donors card.
I don't know anyone who'se life has been saved because of a blood transfusion (as far as I know that it)... however I do have a friend who had a heart transplant a number of years ago. My father also received bones from the bone bank to help give his back extra support after he broke his backbone.

I used to donate but they won't take my blood anymore since I've traveled outside the US and frequently get tattooed.
