I think that the college course will fulfill many things. It will take your mind off the time you have been through, It will make you feel better about yourself as you start to achieve things for yourself and your daughter. It will but you in the company of other intelligent people and this is great 'cos if you are with a 2yr old it is good to have some adult time to de-stress. I think as you progress down this course you will blossom and this will benefit all of those around you and definitely your daughter. Go for it girl! ( and lets face it if you need any help with your course work just ask on here!)

Even at her young age, you are a role model to your daughter. Taking a couple extra courses right now will not only keep you on track for a degree, but take your "mind off things" as you stated. You can wallow, or you can move on. It's apparent you want to move on, and going to school sounds like a great way to do so. Staying in school, even if just part-time will keep your goal in sight. Taking another semester off is a dangerous way to get off course, and start making excuses as to why you can't go back. Don't do that to yourself. You and your daughter deserve more than what you have; however, you have to work for it. Best of luck with everything.

The longer you wait to get back in the swing of things, the more difficult it will be when you get back in the saddle. Yes, I realize your life is very hectic, but what better way to better your life then by getting in there and doing it! The longer you wait to do this, you prolong everything you are going through. Anger is probably an issue but if you put your mind towards something positive, and you will go far. Anger will get you no where but angry.
You seem to be a very intelligent person, I have faith you can do it... just have a little in yourself!

Go for it. You are the stuff of champions. Taking a break will only slow you down and it's a positive way to keep from sinking into your emotions. Go! go! go! I am a Teacher too and while going through school I dealt with the death of my mother, the birth of two sons, a brother who went ito the mental institution (10 times) and divorce. School is what we do while life happens.....not in spite of it.

I think the sooner you get your degree and get a good teaching job, the better off you will be. I was a single mom when my son was two and I worked and went to school! It was tough, but it is better to go to school then sit around feeling sorry for yourself. Get on with your life, girl, and go for it! By the way, I'm a teacher!
