It is a fact that terrorists have been caught AFTER crossing either the northern or southern borders of the U.S. illegally.

Why isn't the government being pro active with controlling our borders? Is it going to take another tragedy before the federal government gets serious about this situation with illegal immigration?

the government always takes a knee-jerk reaction to everything...the worst kind of planning and implementation..

they don't do anything because both sides are more concerned about themselves as individual politicians than they are about our safety

Pro-active to the situation in Iraq.

Inactive to the illegal invader situation and how it affects "We the People".

They will get more re-active near election day.

After elections they will, hopefully, become PRO-active to the illegals in the USA, get it done..deport, militarize the border, give our enforcements the right to DO their jobs to secure our border and protect REAL Americans, get strict on enforcing the laws already on the books, severely punish anyone hiring illegals, make crossing the border a FELONY, cut BACK on ALL immigration for at least five years, then allow only a fraction of the numbers entering now, stop allowing people who did not pay into social security to GET it.

Well, perhaps they think, rightly, that enemies pull a country together. If our borders were 100% secure, we'd have no fears and become complacent. Now, that's not to say I don't strive for 100%, it's just probably what they are thinking.
