yes it can and now you will probably have to go back to the doctors and tell them this, some anti biotics can strip away the good bacteria in your body, and in fact you should go back to the doctors and let them know this, of course consult with your dentist first

Bacteria in your gums will cause gum disease (periodontitis, or "pyorrhea"). Taking antibiotics will upset the normal healthy flora in your gut, potentially leading to diarrhoea. However, the antibiotics should only be taken to help treat the periodontitis in conjuction with definitive treatment from a dentist or periodontist. You will not cure it with antibiotics alone, and risk some of the side effects you are now experiencing. If you continue to struggle down your path, you will develop loose teeth, eventually leading to tooth extractions.

What I've been reading on the answers to your question, are generally right
You can also eat yogurt. which also does the trick. A Doctor told me to do that.
Antibiotics can cause over kill, so to speak, and kill the bacteria that your system does need, like intestinal flora your intestines need
If your a woman, it has been known to cause a yeast infection of the vagina. I know, because it happened to me more then once.
There is over the counter medication for that. It's not cheap though. Talk to your doctor about it. He may have a prescription for it, but for now, try the yogurt, and see if it works. It did for me.

Yeas almost every antibiotic causes diarrhea. The best way to fight that side effect is to eat yogurt on daily basis . the yogurt helps to replace the good bacteria your body needs that helps to stop the diarrhea. This is the advice from my doctor.

Yup. Kills the beneficial bacteria in your gut, and leaves you with diarrhea.

Tell your Dr.
Ask if you can quit the antibiotics. Usually, unless it is severe, gum infections can be treated with proper brushing and flossing and sometimes they have to do a scraping below the root (scaling)

Take acidophilus to give you back those good bacteria.

Antibiotics can cause diarrhea by destroying the normal flora in the bowel. I have never heard of giving antibiotics for pyorrhea.

Yes, because the antibiotics are cleaning your whole system (not just your gums) of bacteria and its got to go somewhere. It will go away when the antibiotics have detoxified you.
