I lived in Turkey for 2 years.
People are very friendly and with a rare sense of hospitality. Especially if you try to speak their language.
I miss not living over there anymore as it was really special.

I've been to Istanbul and the hospitality was pretty good. One tip for you though... lots of tourits really hate being bothered all the time on the streets (Wanna buy tea? Should I polish your shoes? Wanna come to our shop/restaurant?), especially when it's the same person doing it over and over again every two minutes like they can't take no for an answer. Apart from this, I think you're doing pretty good with hospitality.

I moved here to Istanbul 3 years ago and I love it more and more everyday. I would give it a 9 of 10 (still not crazy about the driving here).
