Well growing up I called my aunt's - auntie (their name). They didn't seem to mind so much.

With my daughter having numerous great aunt's and uncles, we use GA (name) or GU (name). They like the short version and I have caught some of them introducing themselves as GA's.

My mom joked that she didn't want to be called Grandma but wanted Goddess instead.

I'd tell your sister-in-law to choose something that she would like to be called and you will call her by that. Suggest that she look at other cultures and find out what Aunt is called in those cultures, maybe there is something there that she will like. It really should not be up to you to deceide. You have enough on your plate already, picking a name for baby, preparing the room, adjusting to a new schedule if baby is already here etc. If she doesn't come up with anything than Aunt it is and she'll have to deal.

Besides what is wrong with Aunt?
