Stick with Bumrungrad, my wife went there and 2 of her friends had procedures done there last week. We just returned home from Thailand vacation today! Anyway we like to stay at the Center Point Hotel. There are 5 locations but we stay at Petchaburi one it's right across the street from Pontip Plaza the computer super center and about 3 blocks down from Pratunam Plaza & the all ne Platinum Plaza for clothing discounts. It's great too because it's only a quick Tuk Tuk ride to the hospital so you can get there quick in heavy traffic. You can book online through this site it's about $50 - 60 a night but includes breakfast & the rooms are mini apartments. Book online because they are usually booked for walk ins. They are just a 5 minute walk to the BTS skytrain station "Ratchetawi" The website is fast & reliable too, great email communication on your transactions too. Good luck!

Yes, I have been to both hospitals.. BNH some years ago and Bumrungrad recently.. I have been a fan of Bumrungrad until this last visit when the Doc wanted to operate on my knee the next morning and I hesitated - went to the internet, applied ice and rest as suggested on the internet and it was 50% better in 2 days - 95% better now.. [he had to know?] BNH was fine but I had nothing more than a fever and again it was many years ago.. there are some complaints abt Bumrungrad lately amongst the expats here as it is getting a bit more expensive and $$ conscious.. If you go to BNH, hopefully I am not confusing this [ Soi Convent ] - there is a hotel called the Swiss Lodge quite close to BNH - - - again, I stayed there many years ago..
And to answer more directly - - Bumrungrad might be a bit better but I would base it on the doctor or find out if anyone specializes in MS.. more than anything.. if you had good luck and can get the same Doc back again, that might be the best approach.. There are other hospitals that are getting recognition here lately.. Samitivej [ I think ] and my Doc in the USA friend w/a Thai wife had a good expereince and were impressed w/ Viphavadi [ not correct spelling] - Bangkok Hospital is also pushing in the medical tourism biz.. hope this helps.. any specific questions and you can feel free to contact me.. kenk2424@yahoo.com

I have been to BNH Hospital several times and the place is fantastic. I wouldn't go anywhere else in BKK. Quality care, wonderful staff. and just alll around felt good. A closer place to stay and much cheaper is a great hotel called the Malaysia Hotel. I walk from there to BNH or a 35 Baht cab fare. The hotel is safe, clean, elevators, pool, 24 hour coffee shop, 24 hour front desk with very helpful staff. It's about $12-14 US dollars a night and includes breakfast buffet. Check it out. I now have a condo near there but if I needed a hotel that's sure where I would stay. I will be there in a few weeks and stay for several months. Email for more info.

Hi Bumrungrad Hospital is still the more established of the 2 in this area. So probably you should consider going back to the same hospital. They had upgraded their facilities in these past years to help meet present day modern standards.
As for accommodation there are many that you can choose from. Use the link from the above answers to get a place nearby, or even www.asiarooms.com for more options. Get one in Sukhumvit, which will be within walking distance to the hospital and is still close to the shopping centre nearby or a short train ride away.. Examples:
5-stars - JW Marriott,
4-stars - The Landmark
3-stars - Amari Boulevard Hotel, Zenith Sukhumvit Hotel, Royal Benja Hotel, Bel-Aire Princess Inn, Pinnacle Sukhumvit Inn
2-stars - Nana Hotel

You are in Dubai dear Amal, I wonder why you are looking for treatment outside. Beleive me we've got it all here.
I had a chance to read the question you asked about the cancer thing, i'm really sorry but I guess you.ve got strong faith, unfortunately I had the chance to read the question late and couldnt answer, so i'd like to answer you know.
I passed throught the same with my mom, she is the world to me. Fortunately it wasnt too late for us to find out and everything was alright, treatment was in abudhabi, beleive me good enough not to let you go out of the country, anyway hope the problem is resolved concerning your mom. To be honest i'm looking forward to knowing you better, wondering if there is a chance.

one of my friend got accident and he has to say there more than a month. As I see,BNH is very good.I felt like it's hotel more than hospital and all staffs their are lovely.and you know what..i think only rich and VIP like the ambassador or priminister like to come to this hospital.and the location is near to Silom road...nightlife and shopping street.near skytrain and subway station, shopping malls, fitness etc.it's very convenience for you.really!!
and near the hhospital,it has a lot of hotel and service apartments...Swisslodge hotel,it's not 5star hotel but it's very nice and clean and near BNH
