Well, why would you say it is your friend if you guys have been dating for three years? anyway - if you do have a strong relationship then both of you guys would accept each others' differences and work around it. Each person is entitled to their opinion, and if you prefer one religion over another then that is your choice. You should not be judged by this.

if it hasnt affected ye after 3 years i think you'll be ok. When it comes to marriage why not have 2 small little ceremonies for just family - that way neither is offended - but most of all do whatever makes you and your partner happy. Thats most important!
