Do u think jesus was a midget?

j/w b/c i have heard that ppl were shorter back then, and that supposedly jesus was like 4'10'' or somethin, is there any proof to this? also i'm a christian so other christians don't send me hate mail, i've always just wondered this.

Actually, the truth is that people were larger back then. The Human race has decreased in size since Adam, down to the present size we are now.
Besides all this, it hardly matters at all, does it?

I never heard that people, on average, were that short back then, although because of poorer medical care and nutrition, they were probably shorter than today.

BTW, "midget" is considered insulting by LPs (Little People), because it is used in so many ways to mean "a smaller imitation of the real thing." A small imitation race car is a midget race car, for example. If they are dealing with dwarfism, "dwarf'" is acceptable. Little Person is best, simply because you might not know the medical condition underlying the situation; sometimes people are just short.

In Luke, it tells how Jesus grew in stature and wisdom. He grew strong. Jesus was a carpenter which in those times was not a profession for the weak. They couldn't go down to Home Depot and buy pre-cut lumber to the sizes they needed. They had to haul around large timbers and cut them to the shapes necessary. this would have buffed up Jesus considerably. He would not have been able to be successful at His profession if He were smaller than the average person back then. It is thought He was actually larger than most. Jesus was no wimp and was, most certainly, no midget (or dwarf).

Jesus would have looked and been the same height of others in His day, but being the Word of God, and God having much to say about the way people lived their lives, with money changing in the temples, and man's sinful nature, I've always imagined Him larger than that of the average man. However, this could be proven by looking at His grave sight. I had come across it on the web, I think I had googled where is Jesus' grave?, and it showed pictures of it inside and out. I think I saw that they had dug out a special space in the stone to accomodate His feet. You should check that out. I also remember seeing a face formed in the stone on above it.

Jesus would have been average height for the time He lived on earth. There was nothing special, or unusual about His physical appearence. Judas had to point Him out to the Roman guards with a kiss so they would know which one of the group He was.

Otherwise, Judas would just have to the solidiers, "The one you want is the midget." or, "Just look for the one with the halo."

No he was not but he was not tall either, he was of average height with very thick skin from extensive walking and also the environmental factors the sun, wind etc had dark skin and short curly hair unlike the Jesus image we see everywhere, he was the total oppo site of it.

Probably not a midget but I would imagine he was pretty small. Doesnt it say something in the bible about his stature or something. I think if he was a midget it would have said in the Bible and be mentioned more.

because we were told that Zacchaeus
in Luke 19:1-3 that he was a man of little stature.
So, Jesus christ was not a midget.

If you read the Bible carefully, you will learn that although Jesus was indeed a midget, he walked around in stilts which were hidden under his robe. In fact, Jesus was asked several times to join the local basketball team but He couldn't because he was too busy creating myths for simple-minded people of the future.
