Well its a good thing to say that you aren't talking about the navy seals seems how women aren't allowed to go into that special force.
Since I joined I haven't been treated badly, there are a few of the "old school sailors" that still don't think the navy should allow women in but you are going to run into that in every branch of service. Sure its been rough on me but just show that you are determined and you'll do fine.

Well, I hope that if they are anything like the women in the Army who use pregnancy, their periods, and sexuality as tools to not work as hard and not do their jobs and get detailed to support roles like working the training rooms, supply or other admin jobs, they they should be treated for what they are. It is my sincere and very strong belief women have no place in the military unless they are assigned MOS's such as nurses, linen/cleaning, or 'morale' service members. Guys know what I mean-- What is the best and fastest way to boost your morale in the field?? Haha!
Anyway, the Navy has a reputation for having serious issues with their females, most likely from giving them so much due to Affirmative Action, the IG and pregnancy discharges. You can thank Bill Klinton and Democrats for that.
Real soldiers do their job, and don't whine about carrying their loads or pulling the units 'fair share' of labor. Something rarely done by females. How many female mechanics carry their own tools to the site or are seen with a full load humping through terrain who ARE NOT DRAGGING AND BRINGING UP THE REAR??? I've never seen it in my 7 years in the Army.
Do our military forces a favor, stay out and go to college instead. We have enough expenses without having to pay for your single military mom expenses, wasted training and slots being taken because of quotas, pay for time off due to 'female related' issues.

As a general rule I do not think so. Women who use their gender as an excuse for trying to get out of work or going to sea will be, but if you work hard and do the things you are supposed to do you will not have a problem.

women can not become navy seals anyway so forget that GI Jane crap. and trying to generalize any type of experience in the military is foolish. either do it or dont, but go all the way if you go, peoples lives will depend on you, so you cant be doing stuff half @$$

No more than women are treated badly anywhere. There are always jerks who underestimate women, but the military has put in safeguards to curb that in all military forces. Good luck!

Unless something has changed very recently, then yeah women squids dont get treated very well especially on ship. Go ahead and imagine being on a gator freighter for 6 months and you not only have to deal with the guy squids on ship but also another 5-600 Marines on your ship as well.

no, considering affirmitive action has been taken so far as to oppress the white males. Women can file a harassment charge without any evidence and still convince a guilty verdict.
