It dpends on what type of AMex you have - read the statement they sent you, if the balance is 1,000 and the payment due is 1,000 then you have the type that needs to be paid off in full each month - AMEX green or gold cards etc. If the balance is 1,000 and the payment due is like 25.00 then you have one where you can pay over time - Amex Blue etc.

Your supposed to pay the full amount monthly. They have an optima card that you works like a regular credit card.

depends on if you don't mind paying interest or not. If you pay off the balance as soon as your bill is due, then you won't be charged interest.

dont just pay the minimum or you will be paying it off for-ev-er. pay what you can so you dont just pay off interest and you actually pay principle.
