You become superstitious when you choose wrong belief which teachs superstitious & duly brings nothing or bad for human kind...

If u choose the right path then you will know what is the benifit for you and your people...

For eg. People who dont blv that there is a god will never give damn of being kind to each other or extend their hands to help the poor or to keep the justice or to work for it....They will alwayz look for their good and you cant stop them if they live in countries where no RULES ARE PROPERLY SET to prevent clashes between each other...

There is no superstition in the Christian religion that I am aware of. However this Feng Shui is the biggest conglomeration of superstition imaginable. We sell real estate and when a deal balances on whether or not a door faces a certain direction or a house has a certain number, or a myriad of other nonsensical ideas, you get a little jaded to the entire process. Get a life people. Superstition is a bunch of irrational, unrealistic, primitive ideas that do not have any moment in real life and existence.

Well, religion is supersition in practice. All religion is based on sets of rules, traditions, symbols and patterns that people follow with an expected outcome even though there is no proof or facts to base it on. Some religions are far more supersitious than others. Some "cross" themselves, others must pray facing east, some rest on certain days, and many others. Blowing out the candles on a bday cake and making a wish is in reality no different than a prayer. I don't believe that these superstitions are meaningless, as the power of belief has been proven. I must also note that religion and spirituality are very different things in my opinion. One can be extremely spiritual, without the presence of religion or superstition.

Most religious people I know are less superstitious because they already believe that God controls things so superstitions just seem to hold less real value. Maybe you've found differently, but usually that's what I encounter.

Speak for yourself. Since really "getting into" my Catholic faith about four years ago, I've become the least superstitious person I know.

Taking my Catholic faith more seriously has shown me the folly of superstitious beliefs. That's why, when a black cat crosses my path, it doesn't faze me in the slightest.

u are wrong buddy ...religion has nothing to do with superstitions..in fact the one who is superstitious is not religious at all....in my view being religious is not to do pujas and follow a very orthodox set of rules which may have little relevance in todays `s world..religions is ur way of life to live it in a organised way..ur way of life to be in the society and help it..that`s all

I disagree, I am not superstitious. I've never had a bad Friday the 13th, I don't freak out if a black cat crosses my path, etc.I believe in God not manmade superstitions.

We and God get closer in connection through prayer. This is the truth that drives us to be superstitious

Most religions teach pagan doctrines and most Churches are filled with superstiction and mystic and God speaks to me.
If they knew the plain simple truth that God created the earth for man and this is his home. the good will live on it forever the bad will be gone forever. Some people just don't deserve to live.
