All fundamentalists are fundamentally mentally ill and to try to mask this, they want to infect as many other people as possible - delusion loves company.

You've got it wrong - Christianity IS about converting the world.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

I don't know where people got the idea that Jesus taught people to "accept things." Was He being "tolerant of other faiths" when He called the scribes and the Pharisees hypocrites, blind leaders of the blind, or vain worshippers?

It is written in The Holy Bible. Mark 16:15 says "And he (Jesus Christ King of all Kings), said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Christianity IS all about being Christ like. God wants us ALL to be Christ like. So that's why we try to tell everyone about him. Some don't go about it the right way and try to cram it down others' throats. I don't think that is the correct approach. We are to tell others about it and let you decide (and bear your own responsibility for you soul). Some are so pushy because they really do care about others that much and just don't know how not to be I guess. Anyway, I hope God blesses you and you do find and understand the truth he so badly wants you to know. Have a nice day.

I don't have an answer and, honestly, I'm not even sure there is one. I just wanted to thank you for noting the difference between fundamentalist Christians and Christians in general. I'm a Christian and I can't stand the bad name we're getting because of fundamentalist, conservative, Christians. Christianity is about love, tolerance, charity, liberty and justice for EVERYONE - not about hate or proselytization. Unfortunately, precious few Christians actually practice what it is that Jesus taught us, they sure do like to talk about it and condemn others for not practicing it though!

Because it's obviously a hard line to walk. Jesus himself knows that. And yes a lot of fundamentalists cross the line but so do a lot of liberals too. I mean ask yourself if you honestly believed that you had a knowledge that would enrich and save other people what would you do. Wash your car? Try to convert everyone? Hopefully something a bit deeper than that but It's something you would have to think about and a lot of people just don't think.

"Misery loves company", doesn't it? Christianity has a long tradition of converting people by fire and sword. Witness the Crusades. Moslems are also fanatics about their religion, so these two beliefs will always be at war. They are two of four offshoots of the ancient Hebrew religion that worshipped Elohim until Moses enforced the Sinai Covenant to worship Yahweh above all other gods, as the first commandment says.

I think that they don't realize or simply forgot that GOD split the one true religion into 12 tribes/religions with 12 different languages. I think that they should go back and re-read the Old Testament. Then they might see that as long as you believe that there is a GOD or Higher Power then your soul is safe from fire and brimstone. And the Holy Bible also states "Judge not least ye be judged".

Christianity is about Love, period. Everything else is just details, but yes we are called to walk in Christ and to show others His Love. I do not go around preaching to others, but rather, if someone asks a question about God I try my best to answer it.

Because that is our commandment from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Any more questions?

Disagreeing with others point of view isn't anti-Christian. I accept you for who you are, but as a person, I may disagree with you. That's ok...to each their own. Christians want everyone they know to have the love & forgiveness of God. I'm not trying to "change" anybody, I just want them to know the joy that knowing God can bring.

I suppose when Jesus chased the money-changers out of the temple, He should have been washing His car. Maybe since the last words Jesus spoke before ascending to Heaven had to do with spreading the Gospel, we feel that it should be done. You are free to believe or disbelieve, but don't fault us for trying to keep your butt out of hell. Maybe you should criticize the religion whose followers practice terrorism, and leave the peace-loving ones alone.
