That all depends on what position you are applying for. The airlines are contracting out a lot of work these days. Ticket agents may work for one company, while baggage handlers work for another. If you want to work for a specific airline, you should go to that airlines website and see what is available in your area. Most domestic airlines are actually making cuts right now, but some are still hiring. You can also go check out Monster.com and enter keyword airline and see what is open.

You also need to pass a drug screen, be at least 18 years old and have no recent criminal history within the past 5-10 years, depending on the local airport authority.
