What you must understand is that religion is man made, and that's a fact.so forget it it was made to keep man kind in line, a way of controlling the people, and of course to make a profit. You don't need religion to find God, all you need is faith, something that has been lost with religion, unless you wish to go around killing, hurting, or controlling others, then most of today's religion do that in some way, but ask yourself this if religion was about God, then why do new ones keep appearing?? why in the name of religion do we kill, nothing to do with God, just man kind.

Find faith not religion, and the best way to do this is first find out all you can, read the bible, and then check the truth, there is a lot there, but there is also a lot badly translated form Hebrew FACT, many of the dates are wrong FACT.
You need to be careful as well because there are a lot of so called religions that will want to sign you up and take part of your wages don't be conned by this, this money does not go to spread the name of God, but helps others lead very good lives.

Faith not religion,
Love & Peace

I can only tell you why I'm a Chrisitan, in the end it's between you and God.....I wasn't brainwashed, I wasn't raised a Christian or any faith and the few Christians I knew didn't seem to me to be any happier than me, in fact I considered them deluded and boring! I am intelligent and I was an independent minded feminist who was fast on course to destroying my marriage by my wild flirting ways. Then I accepted an invitation to a mate's baptism and whilst I was there I truly felt the presence of God, and by the end of the service I had accepted Jesus into my heart, been baptised in the Holy Spirit (which was like being filled with pure love) and been cured of depression. I did all this without falling over, screaming or making a fuss, in fact nobody knew but me. Nobody tried to tell me anything that would convince me to become a Christian, it was purely the work of the spirit in me. I don't know why God called me so powerfully but I've never looked back and have found God to be faithful. Being a Christian isn't a ticket to an easy life, but if it's true then it's true, and I found out in a way I couldn't deny that it is true.
Hope your search goes well, my only advice is to ask God to show Himself to you in a way you will know it's for real.

1st off - You have to decide if you want guidance or to be controlled... Most of the loons before me love God based on fear and are now controlled. They are too brainwashed to realize it.

What YOU have to do - is interview... interview a Priest, A Pastor (methodist seem more down to earth), Go see a Rabbi at a reformed temple (if you want to get more involved you can always move up) - meet with a Buddhist Monk....

If you are serious about looking into what is right for YOU than you owe it to yourself not to fall into something you will regret..

Oboy- a sitting duck.

How about you look at the basic ideas of a few religions and decide for yourself which you like, if any? There are many to choose from... Become a Buddhist or a Christian or a Sikh or Muslim- or maybe even an Atheist :)

The right one is based on an individual relationship with the one who died for your sins, accepting the penalty you deserve and who give it to you as a free gift. This person is Jesus Christ.

"Religion" is over-hyped. A personal relationship and faith in Jesus is all one needs.

Check out the Bible. It is over 1/3 specific prophecy, which no other religious book can claim because they would be proven false. The Bible was written by 40 different people over 1600 years from men from different continents and cultures, yet it gels perfectly.

It is awesome.

well, i can really only tell you about my own, and at that, there's quite a bit. so, without trying to sound pushy...i'm a christian, catholic to be specific. if you're looking for guidance, there are many resources in christianity that offer that. i would probably recommend finding a church and just going a couple of times, listen to what they say. because it can be intimidating to do, if you have any buddies or acquaintances that are christian, ask if you can tag along if they go to church. i'm sure they'd be more than happy to bring you. that's where i would start.

I highly appreciate your seeking for the best thing in the human life. I am happy to introduce you to the Baha'i Faith, the most recent Revelation of God:
The Bahá'í Faith is an independent world religion. With more than five million adherents residing in over 124,000 localities, the Bahá'í Faith is established in 204 countries across the planet. The spiritual principles of the Bahá'í Faith affirm its overall purpose--to bring about the oneness of humanity. In cooperation with these same principles, Bahá'ís also believe that there is only one Creator and that the spiritual truth of all religions is the same. From a Bahá'í perspective, The Bahá'í Faith is the most recent of the world's great religions. It forms the next link in a chain of important, divine teachings, a progressive revelation that places Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, as the Messenger of God for this age.
You can get more information about this religion of the One True God at any Baha'i centers near you or at the following Web pages:

Pray for your attainment.

If you are looking for religion, you need more guidance than you realize. Try thinking and living in the real world like a grown up and you will soon see that religion is nonsense.

religions by definition is a belief in a higher power or in spiritual self awareness but i think you could always try what i did. i went soul searching and found myself in the idea that spirituality fit me and so did pantheism so heres my advice go out and read a few religious history books then go from there.

i was once a atheist then i went to paganism and then wicca and now i am a spiritualist pantheist

My religion has no name that I know of. I believe that the creator is a woman. The great mother creatrix. We have a Goddess instead of a god.
