Why do muslims think its terrorism not the way they treat women, gays & unmarried young couples thats the prob.

People can understand insurgent wanting to americans to f off leave them alone and stop nicking oil.

We can understand being pissed off with isreal..

But not the burkas forcing one half of the popualtion to cover themselves in a movement restricing claok so can be so sporty or express themselves.

Can't understadn complete coverinbg up to isolate from society like the ninja suit as we are socaiable this smacks of abuse and separartion.

The honour killings, family honour in general, daughters having to obey mae family members and husbands, contries where women can't drive, freely hang out with boys, have boyfriends (ie ever hear about sex ed and contraception ie more then one kind to back up the other?), abuse and murder of gays (what immoral with that they are not hurting anyone),

Saying you are into protecting girls then stoning girl etc

These crimes are common in islamic countires acceptied and supported... so not the odd nutter... its the sharia law.

Only not officially crimes...

Most guys have lots of girl mates and vica versa... They dont want them stoned or otherwise brutalised is islam took over.

Not all muslims are into this... correct but why be part of that system...

its like saying you did cake bakes for the natis but liked jews.

As for women as sex object... explin whats wrong with that... Guys want to be seen as sex objects too.

if girls considered me a sex object I would have no problems getting a date, girlfriends, much more money then I do now simply for getting photographed

Paid for favourite pass time dancing etc...

And people dont condiser girls just for sex... they still like you for who you are only its like a great in built play station or other toy and it makes it fun to be with the person as more then a mate.

Sahood...

Another perverted savage excusing the crimes of islam... Put it simpley there is no muslim, non muslim, but nice and not nice...

Islams actions are judged as not not nice to people.

And people like you supporting not nice actions... Saying is non of your business if waht peadophiles do, bullies do, rapists and muggers do so they can get away with their crimes... This is why islam needs exterminating to purge the world of those who support such beliefs

It is a primitive religion and a primitive society. If not for oil, they would be completey worthless and noone would care. Once the oil is gone, they will learn.

The saudis are building up Dubai in an attempt to plan for the future when the oil is gone, they will need an economy for thier people. Give them some credit. Other than that the Muslim world is doomed.

what a qestion!
I am muslim and find this an extremely challenging question to answer for a few reasons. the main reasons being

1. i am not qualified enough to answer
2. it is therefore hard to seperate cultre from religion.

My second reason is the main point i would like to play on for now. many of the things that are being done in Saudi Arabia i completely disagree with. it i important that you consider the countries corruption and therefore do not consider their actions to represent all muslims actions. most muslims outside of the Arabian country are not particularly fond of the way saudi operates. so please take the way saudi does thing and seperate it from your thoughts about Islam.

Now I will consider your other points. I often wonder whether it is fair on women and i never think of a woman as a lesser or anything. but the funny thing is that I live in the UK and many muslim women here choose to cover up on their own without anyone watching or forcing them to. another point to remember is that islam is very much open to a multi-cultural society. one of the most peaceful times in the history of man was under a muslim empire where Jews, Christians, Muslims and people withot religion lived together. this time of peace was unfortunately ended by the crusades burning all the books and scientific advancement made in that time.

Talk to you grand parents or great grand parents and ask them how life was then. it would not have been as wild as it is today. i'm quite dull at all and i'm sure life for them could have been even duller. it was just common sense not to sleep around or to dress like a respectable person instead of someone who comes from the stone age and doesnt know how to cover up.

its hard to explain in an essay. perhaps you should go speak to muslim women or pay a visit to Cape Town South Africa where there is a more accurate depiction of how a m uslim community operates rather than in Saudi.

Yes, indeed it is a paradox. Many highly educated Muslim women that I know turn a blind eye to this and are somehow OK with this. Hence I stopped figuring that out.

One of the worst genetic practice they have is marrying first cousins and nephews and nieces. Saudi Arabia has a huge population (about one million) of retarded and deformed kids, yet no one understands. The rule of thumb should to marry in a 5th cousin range or beyond.

I asked some Brits when I lived in UK as to why they did not enact some laws to prevent this when they ruled most of the middle east. They told me that they had tried, but in the end they realized that it was best to leave things alone and let them implode out of their own doing.

The amount of human capital lost when you disallow 50% of population to rot away, too, is staggering! The honor killings are just a two faced joke since most men I have met from that region have no qualms sleeping with every woman they can find ( and some young boys too), but heaven forbid that their little sister too have hormones and feelings.

The West is perfectly willing to standby and let them self destruct. Lastly there has been no evolution or neither is interpretation allowed of the rules written 15 centuries ago which applied to a small population the the desert.

First of all your language is very odd and hard to understand. Secondly you misunderstand a lot of things. Thirdly where are you from?

Now my answer: Generally it is forbidden and wrong to be homosexual and im sure it is in Christianity and Judaism also. When the Quran (God) says that a women should be covered except for her hands and face, like the virgin Mary used to, that clearly also means that she shouldnt have boyfriends and sex. We should also not only follow what we read but follow the example of the saints and prophets lives. The Prophets didnt have girlfriends then ended up married! thats not how it works.. please research this topic more. The woman's buety is only to be shown to her husband and sex only comes after marriage. I think that again Christianity and Judaism which are all from the same God also agree that sex before marriage would be adultry and is therefore forbidden and is punishable. Islam does not force anyone into its laws . for example women are not forced to wear hijab. they are to do so by thier own will and acceptance otherwise it loses its true meaning. If its the law of the country then it shouldnt but so be it.
this law of God is obviously protecting the female from becoming the male's sex toy and preserving her respect and her true value.
those so called Muslims who are ruining the name of Islam by doing things like forcing marriages and killing and so forth are going against the laws of Islam and what they are doing is definitly not accepted. the country of Saudi Arabia which inforces the Islamic Shariah are taking the rules too far from their true aspect and making Islam truely sound vicious and barabaric. This is not what Prophet Muhammad preached. instead Islam tries to facilitate its laws not make them harder. One mustnt listen to other people's wrong opinions. but go on and read and study for themselves from original texts like the Quran and by using common sense.
God bless.

I respect your question, but I disagree with what you quote. The problem with everyone is Sin. I also agree with the people who answer some questions are just point scoring, throwing of the first sarcastic remark that enters their minds. I would just ignore there comments.

I am a Born-Again-Christian, and have been in life or death experiences in the Armed Forces. I suggest you seek Jesus Christ, ask Him to sincerely into your life and God will provide you with all your answers. You have to have that personal experience with Christ to enjoy the benifits of living for Him and with Him. The Holy Spirit will guide you through your life and keep you safe, but will give you the understanding to know what is Truth.

Everything in the Bible is coming to a head and Christ will return soon, don't be left out, get into pointless discussions, there is a world out there that needs to be told about Christ. Because many people have distorted the truth and confused many about religion. I don't see my Christian Faith as being a religion, but rather a way of life, ending in Eternal Life with God in Heaven.

Just remember that the greatest scientific minds in the world cannot explain why, "A Black cow, that eat's Green grass, produses White milk that makes Yellow butter" as I often will quote.

How do we treat women? We treat women with respect. We are told to honour our mothers the most. We are told that we should be the protectors of women. Does this sound oppressing? The all-black, face covering burka, is not compulsory. The only thing that's compulsory is to not to reveal their figure and to cover parts of their body. Heck, they can wear jeans and T-shirts, just as long as they meet the requirements.

Do we stone ONLY women? No, we don't. We stone FORNICATORS, ADULTERERS, regardless of gender, both men and women. Abrahamaic religions, such as Judaism and Christianity, made this the law. If you don't believe me, why don't you read the Bible.

Honour killings? When is this related to Islam? I dare you. Find a verse in the Koran that entitles men to carry out honour killings. You won't find any, because they are none.

Women can teach, they can work, get divorced, even Christianity doesn't give women these rights. In Christianity, women CAN'T EVEN SPEAK in churches, according to the Bible. Saul of Tarsus said it himself.

do u know what u have many valid points. but u are mistaken on one vital point that this behaviour is part of shariah law let me reassure u it is most definately not. these ways are what countries have adopted themselves and they use islam as the reasoning behind this it is NOT! im am in no way condoning this behaviour at all, but every country has its own ways, i mean take america for example (your probably thinking obvious choice but hey best explanation) they behaviour unethically in many ways they have life sentences and executions there, but its the way of the country.

alot of things in islam are symbolic, and when referring to the girls being sex symbols well the covering up shows modesty integrity and covers the beauty. and men are also considered in these rules i mean they are also forbidden to look at girls in a certain manner. so its not unfair.
many people see the "ninja suit" as uncomfortable and suppressive. but it is not it actually gives a women power over herself. it does not matter what she looks like but who she is. this may be a presumption, but many people do not see the good side to being a muslim women. we are not surpressed we are forced to do anything in fact islam makes us better people, makes us stronger people. islam is not a main dominated religion, its equal, its just the roles are slightly different that does not mean we can not do the same as men no, we have responsibilities, u may think a women has to do as she is told but no. one of the greatest sins of a man is to hurt a women, no matter what the case.

i can understand where your views may be coming frm because i would think the same, but it really isn't down to the shariah law it is the way individual countries have adopted and the shariah law is their reasoning behind it but its not the real reason as the shariah law has never and will never agree with the things u have mentioned.

it really hurts me to think that people think this of islam i just wish hope and pray that people knew the real islam.

Please note that this post contains graphic descriptions of female circumcision, which some readers may find upsetting.
I agree with some of your comments. I feel that most of the world's religions suppress and subjegate women. Many muslims believe that a man is worth double a woman. Women have to be covered up so that they do not corrupt men - they are deemed dirty and inferior. I find it very hard to accept this, and of course the honour killings that you mention - it is barbaric. When a woman is stoned for adultery, nothing happens to the man she slept with, there are even cases when a rape victim is punished for bringing shame on her family.
Women around the world are oppressed and violated by many different cultures in the name of religion or tradition - I don't just mean Islam here.

"Female genital cutting is practiced by Muslims and non-Muslims alike residing mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa in countries that include but are not limited to Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya and Chad." (see source URL below)

In some cultures, female children as young as 6 are "circumcised" - otherwise known as female genital mutilation - their clitoris is removed and most of their labia, and then what remains of the vulva is sewn up. This is done without anaesthetic, often using sharpened stones or sticks. This mutilates their sexual organs forever, denying them a pleasurable sex life, in fact condemning them to the complete opposite - the "prize" for their future husband is to be able to force himself through the sewn up vulva to take her virginity.
Sex, urination, menstruation and childbirth are agony for the rest of her life.

I know this means I have slightly gone off-topic, but I just wanted to agree with you about the way many cultures treat women.

Do not criticise on the Islam and its laws. Non muslims have no right in this regard. Islam have its own rules and laws. Non muslims can't understand these laws because non muslims are always talk about Independence out of their religion, and Muslims too talk about Independence in the light of Islam. These are Muslim's social and religious problems.
Mind your own business.

i'm a Christian and have consistently pronounced, "church is for each and all the stable human beings". Your census proves me acceptable in my assumption that what I call "stable" human beings attending church, are no longer probable that stable ... are they ? Christians, who attend church are there because of the fact he or she is meant to comprehend that they [Christians] are no longer stable and decide for a relationship with Jesus of their specific, guy or woman lives. single and gay couples have as lots precise to a relationship with Jesus Christ, as any Christian attending church, does. God isn't a respecter of persons. Jesus Christ died, because of the fact He enjoyed the completed international [human race] no longer purely the folk Christians say He ought to. Non-Christians are not to any extent further useful in view that some, often, have been slowly lulled into "accepting" the political time table of lobbyists in our governing places. in case you have been to ask those questions ... say, 30 years in the past, you would be inundated with (-) solutions by utilising the much. All a count of relativity and conditioning of the plenty, by utilising what's present day in our society. absolutely everyone Christian or no longer ARE self-righteous, boastful, and grandiose at situations. the place there are human beings [human beings] you have got issues. gay couples and / or single couples are welcome interior the church I attend - they are human beings too !!!
