hi my name is josh im gay and every one dont like it that im gay they allways call me ***** and all other name and i dont like it what should i do about it and why do they call me names i dont like it. it bothers me to the point where i want to comite suicide... and if any ones gay please write me or write me back or if your bi so i can have some one to talk to.. .please im 17 male i live in west virginia and im lonley and i allways get made fun off.

Well ignore them. When you finish high school, move the hell out of WVa. Are you going to college? Go far away somewhere. Don't worry, it will all work out. Go for your dreams, whatever they are. Go get a fabulous career, and stop worrying about what other people think. Most people are dillholes, anyway.

being 'gay' is only part of who you are as a human. You also have likes and dislikes, emotions, knowledge to share, and other human attritibutes. Life will and is going to continue for you, for many years. Although its hard to picture right now, "this too shall pass" and when you leave highschool you will see how you were only surrounded by incompetent, and ignorant fools. Please tell me you don't believe that 'everybody' in the real world is like those you experience in high school, because trust me, the minute you step out of those doors you will look back and have a totally different view of your life. Life goes on after highschool... thats something we dont' think about alot but trust me, you can surround yourself with whomever you choose and puruse whatever you want in life without being forced to be around those idiots! You probably only have one more year left in highschool. Make the best of it and then hit the road and dont' look back!

As you read several of the responses - you can see how uncivilized and hateful many people can be, whereas you have also viewed responses that are either supportive, understanding, or both.
You have my support - and may email me if you like. I am concerned about the idea you are contemplating suicide. You'd be missing out on a lot that life has to give. Right now might seem terrible, but if you can hold out, make it on your own, you will see the world can be as rewarding as it can be cruel.
You're a good looking guy - chances are, many of those people who call you names, probably are interested in you, or jealous of you.

Hmmm. You are not gay, you are a human being. Homosexuality is not who you are, it is merely a sexual preference. Why is your sexual preference a focal point of other people's interactions with you? I wouldn't worry about people that follow you around and obsess about where your penis has been--I would seriously find that quite desturbing, and wonder if they weren't mentally ill. When you get out of high school, I think you'll find that adults don't act that way. In fact, the issue of one's sexuality is rarely ever discussed in the worlkplace, or in college. The reason it seems so important in high school is that you've got insecure males with oodles of testosterone who are terrified that they might be gay themselves, and need to constantly prove to the world that they aren't, at your expense.

don't worry about what other people think.they make fun of you because deep down inside them they wonder if they have the same feelings you do.
being gay is who you are so be proud.
some of the most famous people are gay.
at 17 no matter who you are people are going to make fun of you.
just remember it's what you think of yourself that matters most
and people will always play on your fear,so never ever show them fear.
