i lost my ipod a year ago and was very sad and bought another with saved up money i found my old one and want to return it for a psp but my wants me to give it to my brother what should i do

It's not very fair to expect you to give away something that you saved to get.
You should explain to your mom that if she or your brother wants to pay you for the ipod, you'll be happy to give it up but if not, you'll be returning it. Your mom should understand that. (your brother probably won't)
