The local priest in my parish is hilarious. He's as gay as you could possibly imagine anyone to be, always waving his arms around and standing like a teapot. Nobody minds though, he's a very decent man.

Well, my pastor is pretty cool. He knows the Bible very well, and in every sermon of his I've heard, he always makes mention (or example!) of his family. He does not portray himself as being perfect, and lets it be known that he too has had his share of failings. He always comes up with perfect, real-life, examples to show what the Bible means. He also gets *very* into preaching, usually going to any means necessary to get the point across (once, while explaining what Palm Sunday was all about, he quite literally tore the frond off a plastic palm tree in the church, and began waving it about, all the while, laughing how his wife was going to kill him for that, and trying desperately to continue on with the sermon... his wife, in the audience, couldn't stop laughing at him... at the end of the explanation of the palm frond, he spent the next ten minutes at the back of the church, yelling the rest of that part of the sermon, as he struggled to get the frond back on. It eventually was hastily shoved in the pot's soil, sprouting up like a little hand waving at the audience).
When my husband and I were new to the church, he came right up to us, and spent a good ten-fifteen minutes just getting to know us. He was kind, and friendly, and took an interest in us. He is, by no means, flawless, and doesn't pretend that he has never made mistakes (sometimes, using his own mistakes as lessons for us to learn from), but through the life he leads since being saved, it's obvious that he's led by the Holy Spirit, and is a good example.

I've followed some great men of GOD and the ones I admire most ADMIT their human flaws and focus on the GRACE of God that forgives us and cleanses us and is the only thing that makes us righteous or any good at all. Most have been awesome examples to follow because of their faith and love and the way they study, pray and teach. VERY HELPFUL, but as I said, yes, flawed, but not fragrantly so. Of course they have some dirty secrets. Some are alluded to but done tastefully and with wisdom, reverence and prayerfully. I am a Baptist Christian and believe that a transparent, honest HUMAN Christian does a world of good more to his or her fellowman than a "perfect" man or woman, as there is no such thing under the sun.

Our pastor is really cool. He's a young guy, married with children, very humble & very real. I don't believe there are any perfect followers. We are all human and all humans make mistakes no matter what their title is.He is however a good example to follow and helpful in translating the biblical text into our everyday lives. I have no doubt that he has flaws...we all do. He's open enough to talk about his mistakes & to tell stories about growing up before he became a pastor. Again, that's what I like about him...he's real & down to earth.

I love my pastor!!!! He is annointed with the spirit of the Lord and I have never ever met someone like him! I cant even explain the joy I get when he is speaking because I know the lord is working through him and his chruch!!!!
I agree with the answer above!^ my pastor says that same thing... he actually said that if anything is said in the chruch that isnt in agreement with the word then dont believe it! and as for him having secrets...even if he did that really doesnt change his annointing in my eyes.... he is a man....

Our pastor is a wonderful man of God. He loves the Lord with all his heart and he is the first to tell you, "Don't look to me for perfection because I'll only let you down." In fact he just said that to us yesterday. He encourages us to not take his word for anything he preaches about but to take our Bibles and study it for ourselves and prove what he is saying is right. He admits his faults so no...there are no dirty secrets. He asks for prayers when he needs them which shows a truly humble spirit. He adores his family and his congregation and is a true servant to both. God has blessed us tremendously with a leader such as him.

We don't have a paid ministry in our Church, but men with the priesthood may be called to be Bishop. It is not an indefinite term, but we view it as an opportunity for that individual to grow and to help our congregation grow. So in other words, we view the Bishop as having the rights to receive revelation for our congregation and to counsel us, but we do not see him as infallible.
We also try to recognize when he is truly acting as the Bishop and when he is just being himself.
Our current Bishop is awesome. He definitely relies on the Lord, the scriptures and inspiration for direction. I think some may view him as hard-line, but I have found him to be a very sincere and loving man. I know he has provided direction for me to grow through a couple of hard experiences. He has held other callings in the Church and even higher callings, but we are glad to have him at the Bishop level.

My paster is a great Church leader that will be the first to admit to the entire Chruch that he too, is a sinner and can fall short of the Glory of God, and knows that he himself must provide a good example for the Church that he is the leader of. He places all the focus and glory upon God and none on himself.
I have never had such a wonderful paster before, and I am truly blessed that God has given me the one I have. Praise the Lord!

No where near perfect but well liked and admired. Our Pastor has a PHD...could have gone anywhere but chose to Preach in a Church making only 50K...I admire that

Well every Tuesday night, the pastor and I have a private counseling session together. It's really a date for the two of us. He has agreed to pay me $50 for each date. So, it's been like this for nearly two years now. Pastor is married but he isn't getting any at home because his wife has issues with sex. So, I figure I'm doing both the pastor and his wife and the congreation a great service.
