The race card gets frequent flyer miles in the context of the immigration debate. Any attempt to control or regulate immigration is treated by the pro-illegal crowd as a racist attack,
they show NO fear of race-baiting, in america we've spent years and years being PC and taking sensitivity training, so to the aggressive pro-illegals we're just big fat unwitting ducks waiting to become duck soup. This entire mess is 'equal opportunity' gone horribly horribly wrong, and I think people are just now kind of waking up to the fact that we've been collectively had in a lot of ways, played for stupid by people that've been plotting a political strategy for years, now, and indeed have it in for the United States in one way or another.

What IS positive is that it seems there's a sea change on the whole deal underway, and a lot of our representation is finally waking up to the fact that there's reforms that need to be carried through to prevent further abuse of the public through use of these tactics, to ensure that anti-discrimination measures really are fair, and even-handed, and don't end up playing into the hands of those bent on a little revenge/reverse racism. 'Fair' is one thing, setting the country up for eventual failure is something else. We can and should do better with this issue...

Simple minds--> Simple arguments

Many believe that people are racist on every issue. I've even heard it used for why a cashier wouldn't take an expired coupon at the grocery store! It is something no one wants to be accused of, so many people think using it will make others back down. Now, admittedly, some people are using racial slurs to put a point across that is just as easily done a little more politely....... but again, simple minds......

Because the vast majority of illegals here get offended when we say how much we love America and being American, something they can never be. Therefore, in their underdeveloped minds, they reach for the only thing that they know to say that will piss people off, and that is "racist". Who wants to be labeled a racist, right? But as far as they are concerned, that word has lost it's meaning. When they start playing the brown card, you have won the argument. They have lost. If my American flag offends them, good! They are in the wrong place and need to leave.

STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER!

It depends on what you are talking about. If you are talking about immigration and say something like "those dirty Mexicans should be deported" then you are being racist. If someone wants to call for deportation of all illegals then that is their right. However using stereotypes, which includes suggesting all illegals are Mexican, doesn't help their argument.

Because some people love to abuse the right to be patriotic. Just be thankful that you didn't have to live in a country where people thought "patriotic" was a sewing technique.

Here's the situation Trutbknown, lets take you to be black then here's China who's white, Trutbknown is a traffic cop who has to stop and stops a speeding BMW travelling at 110km/hr on a 80km/hr marked road, packed with fellow black guys, they apologise for overspeeding and you let them go.
Now here comes China late to pick up her 4 year old daughter from the airport so is speeding obviously though at 90km/hr on the same road and the cop Trutbknown stops China she tries to explain her situation and apologises but Trutbknown will not hear of that and has to wait a log time to be booked for speeding now tell me is that merely trying to uphold the law or it is racism??? Food for thought.

That's all they have, if they could mount a legitimate argument I am sure they would. Inevitably when a person resists arrest they are the first to claim police brutality. Not being a criminal myself makes it kind of hard to understand the mind of criminals and those who sanction their crimes.

because in this politically correct world we are living in ..it is an easy label to fling out there....most people don't want to be labelled that way...so they back down or don't even speak up to begin with.....people fling it knowing this...and they usually get their way...

it is odd ..these people accuse others of being narrow minded but they themselves are the most narrow minded of them all...in their world there is only 2 choices...their opinion which is right and your opinion which is wrong since obviously, if you don't agree with them...there is no other point of view which can be correct but theirs...the only explanation can be that you are a racist...

kingstubbern...LOL you are the king of stubbornness. Truthbknown...it is a general lack of respect for the Country in general. Most immigrants don't give a flying fuc* and surprisingly (based on the answers that I have got to most of my questions) most US citizens just don't care. It is easy to call people racist so that they don't actually have to "think" about the problem. It is easier to bumble around mindlessly to our countries problems.

It is a fall back positron. People go to racist because they are defending criminals. They know that their position is weak so they try to cloud the issue. I don't know why they are not trying to protect thieves murderers and other criminals. Because that is what they are doing now
