Spelling words uses many different sounds and letters that have those sounds.
The first thing to do is to figure this out. In just about every word, there is a vowel. a,e,i,o,u. Each vowel has a long and short version!
Example: the vowel a, the long version is a like in ayyyyyyyyyyyyy
the short verson is like in aahhhhhhhhhhh
There are certain grammar and language skills that apply to spelling words also.
It may be a good idea, to get a grammar book and buff up on these theories.
Another way is to go through the dictionary. Look up how you think a word is spelled, the word will probably be in the general area. Pay attention to how it is pronounced (this is usually right after the word listing) I think you will find this very helpful in you learning how to spell words, and you will also find out the meanings of words you may not already know!

Good luck!

hey don't feel bad about not being able to spell properly, especially if english is not your first language. The best way to learn would be to read a lot of novels and gammar books. Pay attention to how the sentences have been contrusted. Also when you come across a word whose meaning you don't know, look it up in the dictionary and get to learn its meaning, pronounciation and how it is used in a sentence. Playing scrabble and doing cross word puzzles is also a fun way to learn new words, so try that as well. Gradually you will be real good at spelling. I dont think you have much of a problem. good luck!

What spelling problem might you have? By the way, grammar is spelled with two a's.

Judging by the spelling and grammar of your question you don't have much of a problem; "OK" doesn't belong in the first sentence, nor does the comma; the second sentence is fine, and the third has an extra "so" and a missing comma. Obviously, it is a basic sentence. Can you be more specific?

you can try writing a lot, pretend grocery lists, and make up some articles even if its about stupid stuff, things that interest you, you can also write a criticism "column" of all your books and Cd's. after you write it down look up all the words you think you misspelled in the dictionary and correct them (write it down don't just look a the correct spelling) you can also type it in a word document after that and check the grammar.
